Verizon stinks, but unfortunately I'm stuck with them as all of my family and most of my friends use it so I don't get charged for a lot of my calls. I had Cingular before that and loved it. Cingular's technology is better overall. However, one point in Verizon's favor is that its coverage in rural areas tends to be slightly better. I do agree with you that Sprint is awful. Every person I've known who's had them has hated it and promptly switched when their contracts have expired. I'm sorry you got burned by them for all that money.

bump - still not resolved, we have written proof from ups that i shipped the box and DN still has not reversed the charges. Any lawyers reading this want to make some $$????? Seriously?? We have written documation, a written and signed letter from a ups representative that i shipped this out.

If you had reception problems your dish probably just needed to be re-aimed. I've had Dish Network for 3-4 years now and it's worked great.

One time it was messed up and I called Dish Network. I immediately was connected to a rep who asked if I ever shut the receiver off. I said "no" and he said turn it off over night and when you turn it back on it will download new firmware and everything will be fine. Problem solved.

BTW, I installed the system myself. Nothing to it. Other than I mounted the dish 24 feet up on my old TV antenna tower to get over a row of trees. I got a 120% signal.

If you have all the paperwork showing the receiver was shipped back you need to file a protest with your CC company and send them copies of everything.

We tried, the credit card company said it has been too long cause it took us about three months after i shipped out the receiver to get pissed enough to get the written statement from UPS. i dont care what anyone has to say about DN, they are thieves. Regardless of how are service was or not. plain and simple. Im serious about any lawyers willing to take this case. Are there any lawyers here?

stant, if I were DN, I would just refunded your money. I do not need the bad publicity's. Those reading your thread will ax a lot question if ordering from them.
