Hello,

I came across an awsome rebate offer for an HP notebook computer CTO (Custom to order) from techdepot.com as described here:

Well there turned out to be a problem with the rebate not registering with the sale at the time of submitting the order after the checkout. To be specific the $200 MIR

If you are reading this then kindly review my situation described in the above link, towards the bottom of that page of that thread you will see where I stated how techdepot.com missed the rebate of $200 MIR by faulty error of the time stamp recorded on the receipt .

I really need some guidance from some experienced users so I hope you will be kind enough to help me.

I really don't see how its a scam, I don't think tech depot or Office depot would put there clocks 10 minutes ahead just to screw you out of a rebate.

I hate rebates as much as the next guy but Office depot are pretty good about theirs. I would of just printed the rebate out and then sent it in. If it was denied I would of just take it to the nearest Office Depot and explain the situation. I'm sure once you explained it they would of honored it.

FYI I would never ask for a guarantee, you're just asking to be jinxed.
