Merchant Accounts and Vendor Authorizations
I wonder if their CC processors are comfortable with their practices. I plan to complain to American Express (I had a very similar experience to the rest of the board) and the manufacturer. Apparently when I was told the projector I ordered did not come with a bulb they were lying about it.... The manufacturer told me they would pull their authorization to sell for their behavior.

I've emailed this stupid place 3 times now insisting that I recieve some sort of confirmation email that states that my order has been cancelled.
On their site on my account it still says "processing" under status, so I'm going to be rather pissed if I still recieve the item.
I just didn't want to have to deal w/ them on the phone, but I think I'll call them again and tell them that I'll wait on the phone until I receive the email.
Of course then they'll probably just hang up.
GRRRR!!!!
Just think, it would have totally been worth the extra $20 to buy the camera from somewhere reputable!!!

Just checked their site, and called the phone number. Judging by their hours of operation, and the fact that they are closed on Saturday, your problem might be one of culture.
Perhaps if you had a gentleman call for you, they might be less rude, and you might get the answer you want. Typically, the cust. service line takes forever at all of these places.
I just went through a situation w/a similar company out of Bklyn NY, but due to great info I got here, I had no problems.

| I sent the emails on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, so there's no reason they shouldn't have gotten the messages.
Having a guy call for me is a good idea, cuz I'm not a real gutsy person and it took everything I had to tell the guy that I felt like I was being screwed, and I wasn't even mean about it, I was very calm.
The camera wasn't even in for them to ship, but it's supposed to arrive at their place on Monday, so I guess I'll have to call first thing on Monday to make sure it's not shipped out.

From what I've read here, and from my recent experience w/Abes of Maine, unless you are looking for the sales dept. you can spend half your life on hold.
More specifically, these people do not regard women very highly as a matter of culture. I wouldn't waste any more time w/emails, and have a man call and demand an answer as to the status of your cancelled order.
It sounds to me, as if your order is no longer going to be processed. I would contact your bank and let them know that they shouldn't pay any invoices from this co. Why not open another debit card now, and cancel the old one?

Because I was told by my bank that if the order was already processing, they could still get the money even if I canceled the card. Plus, I pay EVERYTHING with that card (car insurance, gym membership, health insurance, etc) and cancelling would be a huge huge HUGE hassle for me.
I probably should have done it anyway, simply because I had a whole week so the charge probaby hasn't been put through yet.
We shall see. I can always dispute the charge.

Well, I wish you the best. I got very lucky that I googled the name of the company I was going to do business with, and was directed to this place.
I got great service, even though they tried many of the tricks I've read about here.
good luck...

It's all finally taken care of.
They canceled my order, although even after multiple emails asking for some form of confirmation I still had recieved nothing. I just went to the site today and looked under status and it finally said "order canceled".
So, I guess I got lucky compared to a lot of you who got stuck w/ the huge restocking fees and all that.
Hopefully someone will finally do something about these places so people don't keep getting scammed.

Well, you found this place, and you will be prepared next time...just as I was.
It seems if you let them know they can't get over on you, they won't try to.
I see these places offer good prices on cameras, but soak you on extras.
Congratulations...you may now sleep at night!

Aahh, I'm so dumb, didn't even bother to review about this stupid fotoconnection and just asked my cousin to ordered the Nikon D40X package 17 last week. She called and that Victor guy answered and asked her if she wanted the battery and she said no and the guy Victor said the package don't include the battery. They are freaking liar, everything is included in the package. And today, my cousin got an email from them saying that the order is back order. What can i do now?
