Flashmemory-store Scammers--Buyers BEWARE!!!

Buyer BEWARE!!! Switch and Bait SCAM going on here with FLASHMEMORY-STORE
AVOID this online store at ALL COSTS--the costs in lost $$$money$$$, time, and aggravation will be your own.

Ordered an Olympus 1GB xD card and was sent a Fuji card instead. The explanation was that the shipping department wasn't able to contact me "in time" and that they had to substitute the product I ordered for another one. As if it should be up to the 'shipping department' to contact me about such a proposal--instead of sales or customer service--who would, presumably?, be able to do this "in time"!?!?! The customer care rep I began to correspond with told me to use the wrong product sent to me--and THEN return it if I wasn't satisfied. (The Fuji card does not support functions on my camera.) Flashmemory-store fine print reveals a hefty restocking charge for returned products which have been opened! And of course customer must pay return shipping--and is required to pay shipping for replacement of anything returned because of their "error" (read:scam)...what Flashmemory-store calls "exchange." This is a simple Bait and Switch SCAM. If only I had read the well hidden terms on their site--allowing them to make substitutions for the lamest of excuses. Like others posting here, I also wish I had read the ratings on pages like this one. If you look at ratings pages, you'll find that all of the legitimate postings re. Flashmemory-store are negative, and that the one- and two-liners, obviously sent in by company employees in blocks, bolster fraudulently inflated overall ratings.

Get into customer care correspondence and you'll encounter someone who calls himself Alex Koval, promising things. He won’t call you; how could s/he face the public so directly when contributing to such a scam.

Do yourself a favor--bypass this rip-off site.

Greg
