There was no reason not to wait like the rep asked... nothing wrong with that.

It is not like they can keep your money if you used a credit card. You will get your credit but they will probably wait until their monitor is back to issue it... for all they know you could try to keep it without sending it back and then charge back on them. Did you ever think of that?

Let us know if they refuse to issue your credit after they receive the monitor back.

CORNSTALK, you need to dine on your words.... This epic has been unfolding since befor Thanksgiving. REASONABLE TIME PERIOD has long since passed!

Today is 12/26, Newegg processed my RMA at their warehouse on 12/14!!! Guess what??? NO REFUND POSTED TO MY CC!!!! STILL, NEWEGG OFFERS ME EMPTY PROMISES!!!!

Today was my umpteenth contact to newegg and my upteenth promise.

BE VERY AFRAID OF LOST SHIPMENTS, RMA'S, REFUNDS!!!!!!

You're 1 out of a million... NewEgg still rocks!

Try using EDIT instead of double posting.

I just purchased a Creative sound card from Newegg!

I have purchased thousands of dollars of items from Newegg and I never had a problem. I build systems for other people and have returned items in the past - never any issue. I will continue to purchase from Newegg. There customer service was never a problem. Long live Newegg!

Its not that i dont like newegg just some of what they do needs to be addressed and changed or made known to a person during checkout and the option given if you want to change to ground shipping or not. They just do it without a by your leave at all. If i didnt like newegg i wouldnt of already placed another order tonight to finish up my daughters computer but i have so it is something that does need to change. I prefer to know exactly what im paying for and if something or anything at all changes during checkout i want to be fully informed and given an option to leave it as they changed it or even if it raises the cost to leave it AS I WANT IT. Seems to me that should be a consumer right.

I chose 3 day shipping on the 19th of december for a reason i wanted it before christmas. I also wanted to take advantage of free shipping up to 20. for an order as i ordered almost a whole computer at one time. So by splitting the order into 2 or 3 of them i paid very little shipping.

Would i of bought it right now if they did not offer free shipping and before christmas delivery, probably not, my thought was to save my daughter some little amount of money and myself. When i first placed the order i talked to jason and he honestly tried and according to ups tracking all was going to be here by friday. So i checked that thursday night said was on track so i pulled my motherboard out and put in my daughters case along with hte ram and processor which i just bought it all within the last 5 months at newegg a amd 62x2 4400 sckt 939. I got a 5200 amd dual core from the egg just a day before and the motherboard so i installed it all in my puter all i needed was the ram.
So the monitor and printer and a couple drives showed up but the package with the ram and win xp and video card and hard drive didnt make it. Was shipped ground so that on friday ups as busy as they are b4 christmas delayed mine for the more important garanteed items mine was ground so is how they work.

Why i picked 3 day garanteed so it was garanteed. Is it wrong to want to know what is happening every step of the way when you are the one paying for it even though it was free shipping i still could of made smaller orders and picked next day air on it all or 2nd day air but i chose to just do 3 day garanteed. Any way enough ranting i hope that this helps to change it but not up to me. All i can say is thank god i talked my daughter out of ordering a digital camera and all right now. So i can wait till it changes.

As a follow up i filed with california ag and the bbb about this practice and was promised by newegg that they are going to make it where their shipping policy is actually veiwable by the customers and no hid away. Lately the way its going i doubt if they are taking it seriously. Also everytime i order for now on and they change it i will file another report with the ag and the bbb.

Well wild next time you buy from there pay attention to shipping. You pick 3 day garanteed and after logging in you will notice that it changed to ground.

Now most times it will make it in the 3 days but what if it is a order you need to make sure you have it in 3 days but by changing it to ground you dont get it. Also notice when it changes to ground that the cost stay the same. If you read there terms of service or their policy no where in either one does it say they will change it to ground. It does say it on one page only but nothing to make it where you agree with it or not. When you find where it says it at come back and post about it and where you found it. I never saw it till a customer rep pointed it out then i was like who the heck would ever look there and that isnt even part or your terms or agreement in policy.

Gwjm what up with the double quote ? You and Boostedtsi have had a bad experience and no doubt bad service. Even the best make mistakes. If this is your second or third problem with egger, I would personally give them the big Ping-Ding-Aling. However, unless the issue is egresses you should give the vendor one more chance.

New Egg has been pretty good to me. Its the PREFERRED ACCOUNT that I have the most problems with. Its like a hit or miss with it half of my orders are declined even though I have more then enough funds to cover it.

I wish New Egg could work on that with Chase. So I would not have to go though a cancel then wait a couple of days to try it again, This happend with my last order on a LCD TV.

It does seem like they are slipping some in the shipment dept. though

I wouldn't put much stock into those ratings. They don't post all of the negative ones and even admit that they don't post them in their policy. I've had first hand experience trying to advise people that a product is not good, but Newegg would not post it until the fourth attempt when it was basically just a whitewash of what I wanted to say. At least they don't change the posts, to my knowledge, like some others do.
