I just built a new system and couldn't really afford the best processor and motherboard but then i saw the link for 6 months no interest and applied for the card and got it. So i got the best as we all would thinking well i have 6 months i can afford it. So two weeks later i need to buy about 100. more of items like dvd burner anda so on and tried to use my normal card i always used on new egg. Wouldn't accept it so i tried my other card i didnt want the hassle of messing up my 6 months no interest with the other 100. charge so wanted to keep it seperate. Well wouldnt take my other credit card either. So called new egg and asked about it they said was banks fault. So i called my bank i have a 8500. limit on the one and a 4000. limit on other and i pay them off in full every month. Bank said they had no idea why they were being turned down so tried 2 moe times on newegg and didnt go thru.
Finally i tried my preferred account and went thru first time. Made me feel like they wont take my other cards now so reguardless i paid my large amount half off and will pay the other half this month. Since that though i have been looking for a new place to buy from. Spent 400. at one place and had to get a new top of the line video card and bought it somewhere else too. I might go back to newegg aftewr i cancell my preferred account so my ormal cards will go thru in case i cant pay one off the 11.9% interest is alot better than getting stuck with 21.9 on my preferred account. I just think it is weird that the cards they always accepted wont go thru since i got a preferred account.
I ordered from new egg with payment via Pay Pal.
After the order didn't show up for over a week, I contacted NewEgg and was told it was not shipped because I didn't give them a PayPal aurthorization.
A check with PayPal elicited the fact that all they had to do was submit the charge, since I am a verified user. My beef is that they (NewEgg) never contacted me about the situation, while I waited in vain for my order. I had better luck with Tiger Direct.

People are not perfect... if you get upset over that, I would hate to what happened if they left out your fries at Burger King.

It was most likely the PayPal system that caused the problem in the first place... they don't have a perfect system either.

did you even read that reply?
A a paypal rep said they never received a bill for the parts. That to me says it is a newegg effup, not paypal. Paypal would have paid had they ever gotten a bill to pay...

And yes having to call just to find out what is up with your order after a WEEK just to find out it was canceled is bad. You would have thought their 'Customer is #1' service would have called him the business day it was about to be canceled and informed him about the situation.

Exactly why are you in all these threads about newegg trying in earnest to defend them and make it look like it was someone other than neweggs fault?

And to that poster, I too have had MUCH MUCH better luck with TD.

I dealt with N/E over a 6-7 month period in late '03-'04 when I was still in school. A few of the guys at school recommended them, but said just hope you don't have an issue, or else it will be a pain. Well that was exactly what it was.

In my dealings with TD I have never had to speak to a manager to get something resolved on the first call the first time. Usually in under 10-15 minutes I have my RMA and can be assured that things will go smoothly.

Ya PayPal reps are known to be a source of undeniable facts.

I can see why NewEgg doesn't want to deal with you.

well do you honestly think that they would go, oh that is an order from newegg and deny what the PAYPAL CUSTOMER wanted and refuse to send the money...

But I do believe that they(paypal) cannot SEND the money UNLESS they receive a verified BILL(from newegg) that the customer authorized the transfer...

Try to THINK before you reply...

you are just making yourself look like your a newegg rep as you still keep trying to push blame to other people instead of where it belongs...

and now you want to call names.
If I were as you say then why exactly am I speaking of personal experience I have had with NE? Why am I letting others know my experience?

You know what I could care less. I know how they operate, and you have yet to answer anything with any sort of intelligence. Maybe you should try to think of something intelligent before you post a reply.

I have posted more than just 'Oh it was this persons fault, or that persons fault... oh wait maybe it was the people of PX297J that interfered with their gamma blue pulse ray that caused the wire to pulseate and cause a short circuit on the interface and make the diode to fail the command to complete the sale...'

6 out of your 7 postings are defending NewEgg. Why is that exactly?
You have yet to counter anything with more than idiotic and childish banter(and can now add name calling).

I have actually stated PLAUSABLE and PROBABLE situations in my reply's.

Troll is not a name, it is a behavior.

I think you are making the whole thing up myself... maybe you should take your hissy fit some place where you can dupe everyone into believing you.

I could care less if anyone else belevied me or not.
There are more than just my experiences with them stating the very same problem and what they do to resolve it (with bribes) of store credit.

And if I were making it up, why do I have details, time lines and things that anyone else has had this problem with them state the same exact thing.

Again you avoid answering or countering ANYTHING I have said with an intelligent response.

I do not have to prove that their RMA can be a nightmare to deal with. It is very well documented on here. There are probly thousands more that never came here that have had the same things happen to them.

You are the one trying desperately to prove to everyone with your every post that NewEgg is 'GREAT', 'flawless' and 'absolutely perfect'... the truth is, they are not that in any way shape or form...

And your latest reply speaks for itself...
Why are you continuously trying to egg me on and get into an argument?
I know how NewEgg operates, I do not need you to try to tell me that.
In your every post you want to blame someone OTHER than newegg. THAT says that you think they cannot make a mistake. I did not put those words into your mouth, you did. Try reading what YOU have wrote...

bla bla bla...

Wow just in this thread I said NewEgg wasn't perfect... you should try reading what people post before attempting to put words in their mouth. You should make a paper cut-out doll of me so you can make me dance while you put words in my mouth!

NewEgg isn't perfect, but that doesn't mean you are not full of it.
