My name is Simon I am the manager at Shopsunshine I have been here since our opening day in April of 1995.
I would like to respond & address to the unfair portrayal of our company by this reviewer. Although I do feel most reviewers are fair minded there are those that our not. It is important when judging anyone to look at the facts.
The facts are the following:
One day this individual called to check the status of his order.
When he called, the
Customer
Service
Rep asked what the order number was.
He replied by saying he did not have an order number and he went on to say I also never received an email order confirmation. Our CSR then asked him for his last and first name, address, zip code and phone # hoping to cross reference. When searching, nothing came up.
He then grew irate. He went on to say, That he had to have an order # because he registered with our site.
The CSR explained that it is possible to register on our or any site without actually placing an order.
The CSR then offered the following advice. Either place a new order on the site or on the phone.
The individual said that he would have done that, But that two weeks ago, when he thought he placed an order (which he never did) The cost for shipping was $9.99.
The CSR looked at the item he was interested in. It was a 150 lb Air Conditioner. The CSR said that it was not likley that 2 weeks ago the shipping was $9.99.
The individual on the phone grew irate. He went on to say that if it was not $9.99 he would not place an order. If we did not offer it at $9.99 he would leave negative feedback all over the internet.
A few days passed this individual placed the same rating that you see on this forum on the main resellerratings.com page of shopsunshine.com.
In accordance with resellerratings.com policy, they removed it.
The reason is you have to actually have had to place an order in order to complain about bad service. Because he had no order #. They correctly removed it. Not because he cancelled it, rather because
He Never Placed An Order with Our Company.
That is why he turned to this forum. He then went on to post negative remarks on a few other websites as well to ruin our good standing name. If you read his post he clearly stated
“I purchased an in-window air conditioner from Shopsunshine.com and because they had a decent rating here at resellerratings.com”
As far as the complaints with the BBB. We service over 25,000 + customers a year. In 3 years we have 56 complaints. Out of 75,000 customers we have 56 complaints. I think I would take those odds with any company.
In conclusion, this is a case of someone trying to bully his way into getting a shipping price that either changed or he misunderstood.
Till today, he cannot provide an order number to us,resellerratings.com or any one who responded to his posting. It is obvious he never placed any order on our site.
If he did then we would have honored the price.
