Nikon D80 warranty

Warranty came today OCT 30. Looks like it's not a Nikon warranty but it is 1 year, so I have no complains
Blue Stripe worked well for me!!!

I just bought a Nikon D200 camera from this outfit, like you I found no Nikon warranty card. Instead I found a warranty card from a company called RepairTech. When I called Nikon Technical Support I was told the camera I had bought was gray market and NOT covered under the US Nikon Warranty. On the box the camera came in,
printed on the box was almost all in Japanese and what caught my attention was the print D200(J), I soon discovered it meant the camera is made for the Japanese market. For the US market, the print should read D200(U).

I just searched for a Canon XT and Nikon D80 on the Bluestripephoto site. I found it interesting that the listings for the XT specified "with 1 year US warranty," but the D80 listing did not.

Hm.. Do the cameras appear to be refurbished? Any kind of wear, dings or scratches on them that indicate that they were used and returned?

The smaller stuff they can get from any import/export warehouse, it's the cameras that are of interest.

The company may be buying refurbs wholesale and putting them on the market. If they say they are new and they are otherwise, it'll be a cointoss if you guys want to continue doing business with them.
