It really pays to research these companies before you buy,I'd never risk my money with companies like Ibuypower,Cyberpower,Dell,ect.,their ratings speak for themselves.Nor does the excuse"mistakes happen" cut it with me,when someone is spending thousands of their hard earned cash,they deserve a product that has been thoroughly tested and works "out of the box".Likewise,if a product is defective and under warranty,a customer shouldn't have to pay to ship it back for repairs.My one suggestion for rating sites is that with companies that deal both in parts sales and complete systems,there should be an way of separating these areas,I've often felt that some companies aren't as reliable where systems are concerned as their overall ratings would suggest because the parts sales inflate those ratings.It's a lot easier shipping out individual parts than building and testing an entire custom system.

Ammit is infamous around these parts
Well I also ordered a pc from this company and had to cancel the order after 2 weeks because they didnt have the parts to build it. They didn't know how long it would take, etc... So i cancelled the order on the 3-14 and was promised a full refund. Well here I sit 3-28 with no refund and alot of excuses as to why. Latest excuse...we sent the but don't know when and don't have a confirmation number from that transaction but we can fax it to you...no fax well let me call you back...no call.....no answers...no money...
According to my bank they have made no attempts at refunding the money. So I called the vice president of their company and left a message...no return call. so I emailed Lee(a very nice customer service individual who emailed me my refund info)....no response.
I started a complaint with BBB and still waiting on that. So now the customer service guy said I should file a dispute on the transaction with my bank...problem is they have the money already so the bank can't do a stop payment anymore...
Still waiting.

I honestly don't know how companies like Ibuypower and Cyberpower stay in business,their ratings for customer service and product quality are as bad as you can get.My guess is they spend more money on advertising in computer and electronics magazines than they do on customer support,and manage to lure in enough people who don't do their research before they buy.If everyone used resources like RR,companies like this would quickly fold up.
