B&H Photo Video - Help Needed

Hello!
I just wanted to ask if you hard refund/replacement problems with BH.

Long story short:
ordered the 01/06/06; shipped the 01/09/06; billing on my card on the 01/11/06.
Package never arrived (first time this happens to me, I've done excellent business with them till now). I waited 45 days to file the claim, faxed and emailed the affidavit form they sent me. Never got any confirmation for the emails or the faxes.

I asked for a refund, because I bought the missing gear from someplace else.

Question is: will I ever get my money back?

This company is a member in good standing with the BBB. You could try logging a complaint here

EDIT:
Did you get a tracking number for shipping?

I've ordered from B&H many times and never had a problem with my orders (or even getting a refund when I needed it once).

Did you try calling them?

Thank you both for answering.
I'll answer each one of you:

@nomaxim: yes, that's it! No, I didn't get a tracking number because I chose the normal parcel post, and online tracking wasn't available.
@Michael P: this is not my first order with BH, I've done excellent business with them so far and never had a complaint. I'm not in the country right now, but a had two friends of mine calling them, one of which is an american citizen, a fellow photographer and friend of mine.

Things that I forgot to mention:

I am not a US citizen. I am Romanian; I now what you will say, that we romanians are the most likely to commit fraud generally and especially over the internet. Well, I'm not part of that. I'm a working, tax paying citizen, working here and have done excellent business with american online stores that ship to Romania. Relating to my job, I think you will find most unlikely that an RAEF employee may try to fraud an american company over the Internet or the time to make such a fuss over an order from a retailer that I've done such good business with.

I hope I cleared things up and thank you again the the bbb.org link, I didn't know that company. I'll file a complaint as soon as I finish writing this.

Another thing to remember -- and I assume this would be possible in Romania as well as the USA --- when merchandise is never received, you can challenge the charge. The card-issuing company will be able to inform you on their specific procedure for this, but you generally do not have to pay until the issue is resolved. The company in question (B&H in this case) must respond to the challenge or they forfeit the right to claim compensation for the charge.

@bartidog> the problem is that I have already payed for the stuff...they took money out of my account 5 days after I placed the order and 2 days after it has been shipped.

Anyway, thanks for the advice, I will take this to my bank and ask them and see what they will come up with!

I see. I still think you'll be fine and that B & H will honor your request for a refund. I've only ordered one item from them and I think they have a good record as a solid company. They are likely aware that you would not go to the trouble of calling, emailing, etc. etc. if your claim were not legitimate. Good luck!!
