question about Retrobox

Has anyone purchased laptops rated as "C - poor" at retrobox.com? How poor are these units exactly? Many of them are described as having abrasion marks on the screen, but are these abrasions noticeable when the screen is running Windows? Any comments are appreciated!

I'm not too sure with retrobox, but I know with the company I work at, grade C is usually 3 defects or more and arent really all that great. Most of them have broken or cracked plastics and worn keyboards. Your best bet is to contact retrobox and ask them how they rate their systems. As far as the abrasion, it really depends on where it is and how big it is on the screen.

I tend to consider grade C computer equipment to be suitable for test or diagnostic purposes. Most vendors' grade C rating means the item works, but due to several defects, it is probably not something you will want to use for daily tasks.

Disclaimer: I have no experience with Retrobox, so I can not comment on its specific ratings policies.
