Has anyone used this service before? Any comments that you can pass along regarding it?

this is a great paypal alternative and I have used them for a few transactions and I am very impressed quick reply support center low fees and very safe.

I'm not really doubting alertpay, but I do find it odd that they are based in Quebec yet only deal in US currency(as stated in their FAQ).

I am doubting this thread starter with a shiny refferal link though.

I absolutely hate PayPal. I was with them for 5 years but then someone purchased something from me and 35 days later they called there credit card company and performed a chargeback. as a result PayPal took the money back from my account and never gave it back, They would not even give me information on the investigation and as a result I lost $200. AlertPay shares this policy with PayPal. If a seller for any reason performs a chargeback (this is as easy as contacting the credit card company and telling them to charge the transaction back) you will loose your money and you have absolutly no way to fight it back.
