Any honest Apple sellers?

I'm a newbie here, and it looks like a good place to get some honest feedback.. I've been doing some looking for an Apple notebook/laptop, and have run into innumerable sleazeball scams (or what would appear to be) on both eBay and Yahoo auctions. Further sleuthing indicates that the internet is rank with Apple notebook scams, and I'm feeling downright paranoid at this point. Does anyone know of any HONEST sellers out there they'd recommend?

Amazon.com(as in the site, not private sellers) has some good deals. Don't expect much better.

are you buying just one or qty? Ther is a guy in NY todaydeals.com he has a Dun and Bradstreet number. I have not delt with him personally but I beleive he can give you qty discount. check him out and see. ALWAYS check people out before purchasing from them. I would call and ask for refrences (phone numbers not e-mail addresses) of who he has done business with. Let us know here in the forum

I am a longtime apple user and have had good experience with Apple's own online store, both for condition of the merchandise, speed of free shipping and service. Get the education discount if you can. I sometimes buy their factory refurbished version of what I am shopping for; have had no problems with those either.

Hello again, and thank you all for your input. I now have a Powerbook on order, which I was able to get through an educational discount which turned out to be the best deal for me. I'll be switching from a PC, so stand by for what I'm sure will be many more questions and cries for help. Thanks agan, guys!
