Beware of doing business with WidowPC
For those that hate long posts, just scroll down to the bold part for a short recap.
As you all can see, I have never posted here, heck I never knew of this site until I went to order a new Laptop.
In my search for a laptop I came across WidowPC. I liked what I saw, I was looking for a mobile gaming rig, and the selling point for me was the owner was a prior Air Force Officer. I've been in the Air Force myself for 15 years, so I was willing to give this company a try.
There big selling points are: Top of the line parts, quick assemblyand shipment, 3-10 days from order is what they say, and great or like they say "fanatical" support.
For the parts I have no clue, because the last 2 points they were without doubt complete failures. The are so much so that I would take time out of playing WoW to come to a site i've never heard of before. You might ask why come here? Well on there site they had post after post of "happy" customers posting here so I thought it was only right to get the whole story out there so here it is.
I ordered the laptop on Oct 31 expecting to see it in 2 weeks at the longest. So last week I give them a call and they claim they had to order a new Mobo so its all good. I send in 2 online tickets asking for a update, never answered just closed out. I start calling them on Monday, cant get through to anyone in sales, Tuesday same thing and finally Wednesday I had enough. Some tech rep answers again, their phones switch to tech support when sales isnt answering. After being told again that it will be built in 2-3 days, I told the guy, just cancel the order. All of a sudden I get the owner, Joshua. This is where the BS really gets thick.
I call back in about 10 min and Joshua answers, I explain that the tech rep said it would be 2-3 days, he totally disagree's and says it will be done today, today being Wednesday. He also throws in that the video card will be 7800 instead of the 6800 and he will ship it one day. I say ok, we are good if you follow through, I will be expecting it Thursday. Later Wednesday night I get another call from Joshua stating that they couldnt put it together, but he can get it done by Thursday, oh and he states we will upgrade the video card and shiping for free. Now I should have known there to cancel the order because he just straight up sales pitched me with the same BS he said just 2 hours ago like it was a new deal or something, but I decided to look past it.
Friday comes around no laptop, call up these tards again, and they tell me, "we show the order canceled". I was like ohh k, thats fine, but he insisted on getting Joshua. Joshua calls me back about 30 min later and says "I show your order canceled". I asked him between laughs, "you do not remember calling me wednesday?" He said "I kinda do, didnt you say you needed it by a certain date?" and he then states "I just talked to factory and they havnt broke it down if you want we can ship it". All I could do was laugh, this guy is pulling stupid on me. I told him that I couldnt even believe he called me back while laughing at his pathetic attempt, I told him just cancel it and give me my money. Of course even though I supposedly "canceled" on Wednesday they havnt credited my credit card. Recap:
WidowPc does NOT get your computer to you in 3-10 days. They dont get you a computer in 18 days. Their customer support is horrible; 2 customer tickets with no response, all they did was close it out. Lastly their owner straight up lies. Promises one thing then plays dumb when its time for him to deliver, no integrity.
