Euroshopper going to the US of A - anyone with any experiences?

Hi all,

Was wondering whether anybody could advise me on good deals in the US - it used to be the case that the US was a lot cheaper for hardware components than Europe, but now I find it difficult to find good deals, ie the price is almost the same as in Europe. Is this the case now generally? I was looking forward to buying a good graphics card or some RAM but with any warranty issues, possible customs duties, etc, I'm not sure it's a good idea?

Thanks for any advice - especially from anybody who's been able to compare the two markets.
