Anyidea about IbuyDigital or CentraDigital

Hi there,
I am planning to buy a camcorder from one of these two sites.

http://www.ibuydigital.com - IbuyDigital
Reviews are not bad but I wanted to know if anybody have any experience with one of these guys. I don't want to spend $1000 and still have a creapy experience. Please advide. if you have any suggestions, let me know.

all are all the same company, they are registered with the better buissnes bureau of new york and have an UNSATISFACTORY RECORD!!!!!!!

that means that on one or more occasions they have not resolved their customer complaints that have been registered with the BBB [ who know how many that haven't been registered]. go to www.bbbnewyork.org and look up these vendors for yourself and any other one's for that matter.

THESE GUYS ARE SHADY AND CORRUPT

and STEVE R JONES, being a senior member on this site with 700+ posts i would really have thought that you'd have a better sense of the "buyer beware" idea.

makes me 2nd guess about some of the posts from these "members"

I finally bought from centraldigital and experience was good one. They are bit slow in responding by email but the product was delivered on time and as it was mentioned. I would do business again with them for sure. thanks guys for your help.

I had a very negative experience with CentralDigital. I received an obvious factory second item. Sent the RMA back and never received a replacement camera. Representation of "we shipped the replacement camera the same day received". The camera "was shipped this morning". All a pack of lies. They finally admitted it was out of stock and said they did not know when they were going to get any replacements. This transpired over almost a month with 20-30 minute waits on the phone each time. I demanded a refund and they started haggling over restock fees and shipping costs. I was out of pocket already for shipping the good back and lost out on a $50 rebate, let alone 1 month of dealing with these misprepresentations! I still have not received my refund. Thanks to the guy who noted the Better Business Bureau of New York information; looks like I need to talk to them.

I would be highly suspicious of all the positive reviews on this company. The last 53 positive reviews in the last 1 month period have been from first time posters to the site. Highly suspicious especially with all the different names these guys operate under.

Approximately how many people would you say go to the BBB and report good service? Do you have any first hand experience with the camera site?

Do you think I made up the rating numbers that I posted? Or do you think it’s possible I copied the info from the rating section Here?

Between the two sites I referenced, there are about SEVEN HUNDRED reviews. An average of over point Nine on a scale of 1 to 10 is considered Good don’t ya think?

And last but not least, anyone that knows anything about posts counts on public forums knows that they are no indication of anything important. If we used Your theory of post counts, your post should be ignored all together shouldn't it?

Cool your jets Steve and do not take my comments so personally. Nothing changes the facts that on the transaction I was involved with; mispretresentations and an inablility to consumate the agreed upon transaction and refund the funds occurred. I hope there are hundreds and hundreds of positive transactions with Central Digital out theere. Unfortunately based upon my experience with them, I urge buyer beware.

Sorry, I am not the same person who you mention in your post. I have no interest in getting into a flaming match with you or anyone else. However, I would like to get my money back from Central Digital. They seem to have lost the ability to provide any of the promised refund they committed to on the phone recently. Hopefully other customers who deal with them will not share the series of problems and misrepresentations that I have experienced.

Write another one up for the Better Business Bureau of New York on Cental Digital. Central Digital or whatever they are called this week are the worst crooks out there. Thanks Ramshacks for the phone number. Do you have the New York Attorney General's number and New York City Attorney's office? I really got cheated by these guys.
