I to have been burned by this company. Stay away from CentralDigital. I think all the positive reviews are shills put up by the vendor themselves. These guys are so dishonest.

I ordered from them and received a used camera that I ordered as new. I cannot get my refund back and they demand restocking fee and shipping when they are knowingly shipping returns and used cameras. Avoid this company.

I bought a Kodak Digital Camera from Central Digital back in August '05. Never had a problem with them, got the camera in a timely matter, and it was brand new. Not a refurb or a used.
And I don't work for them.

this company is very bad. I would avoid them at all costs. I ordered a camera and it was also damaged. When I wanted to exchange it they said they were out of stock and demanded a restocking fee and shipping. I was very dissappointed by this company.

I bought a camera from Central Digital that was reputed to be new. I received it in a scratched up and damaged condition. I looked at the input jacks and noted lots of scratches indicating that it had been previously used alot. I bought new, not used. I returned it to Central Digital and they demanded a 15% restocking fee and proposed to charge my card an additional 15% prior to issuing a refund for the previous charge. This has been going on for over 1 month. I instructed my credit card company to charge back the full cost of the good against to my credit card. Central Digital claimed they did not get the camera back in contesting the credit card charge back. Fortunately I had UPS tracking and signature verification to refute the lies of Central Digital.

This company has for sure gone down hill in the last 6-9 months.
Nine months ago the rating here on RR was around 9, it is now 4.82 resellerratings.com

I do not believe that Central Digital was ever any good. I tend to agree with an earlier poster here. God knows I had my problems with Central Digital; the company was probably never any good. It is hard to believe that over 50 first time users in a row rated this company outstanding in such a short period of time as noted above. There has not been that level of comment about this vendor since the "50 in a row positive" that spanned a 1 month period. This appears to be a case of a retailer packing positive feedback for the benefit of garnering a better rating on the site. After my experience with Central Digital they are completely untrustworthy.

When I saw this thread I could not help but put my 2 cents in. This company is the worst. I bought from Central Digital which looks to be the same company as several others. I received a damaged used Canon camera which was supposed to be new. I sent it back and they never refunded the money. I had to contact the credit card company and charge the cost of the camera, including the shipping back to Central Digital. The charge back went through without question; very quickly. I got the feeling I was not the first person who had called this credit card company with problems with Central Digital. Central Digital and its other related companies are complete and total crooks.
