Its 08/06/05 and Im in phase 3. Ive seen a few posts that mention the lag on the order stat. page it's also the weekend ,But So far so good I will update this as I get new info.

I noticed a lot of complaints Ive read have been about takeing so long to ship You should realize that thier building a coustom machine which takes time. Also This relationship is a two way street If your cool with them they will be cool with you.So Keep up The Good Work guys will post again when I have more info.
08/09/05 Phase 13 Everything is going just fine Recived an email from Steve Lopez today he said my machine might be shipped today tommorow at the latest.(which is the est. ship date) I checked out the web site and it was up to date. Will post again when Ive be updated.)
08/09/05recived a pre delivery notice from FDEX today they estimated the delivery date as 08/10/05 which would be cool although it sounds to fast, but it does only have to go from Maimi to Tampa will up date again.

A couple of things you should do before booting it up

As a proud owner of two alienware computers, (laptop, desktop), I would like to recommend you do the following before booting up the system:

1. Open case (if desktop) and check for any lose wires, parts, etc.

2. Once you have it booted up, check updates on all devices installed, (i.e., video card, sound card, etc.)

3. If your BIOS needs to be updated(this happened to me) contact Alienware directly, mainly, if you flash the BIOS without talking with a Alienware rep, it will void your warranty.

I went through 1 month of pain staking updating everything before the system up and jumped to life, it was a problem, but I'll tell ya, I am going to by from them again.

Hi, LOTS of people hate alienware, I love my Alienware computer. first thing, you have to check and make sure you recived everything you ordered. With thr rebate i think they are a real good deal. if you have one coming make sure you fill out and sent everything correct. there have been a lot of complints, By people who did not get the rebate. good luck.

Felcom, Dell ? No, Emachines real close .. I admit you take a chance when you buy a Alienware computer, There TEC help runs from real good to down right stupid. funny thing is Alienware is like Las Vegas, ether you love it or hate it. time will tell.

Very true, I been reading a lot about AW. It just seems that they have grown to fast and are not keeping up with the Tech. support. If people are spending over $4000.00 on an AW they should also have a trouble free computer not a roll of the dice.

I am spending big $$$$$$ on my next FNW, why after owning one for the past year and never having a BSOD, Never having a crash, Never having a major problem other then doing something self inflicted it has been a great ride.

Well, we just bought our third AW. We have had no problems with our first two, but it has been 2 years since our last purchase. We'll let you know how things work out. We are kind of loyal to AW, as they've always done right by us. Fingers crossed.
