A couple of things you should do before booting it up
As a proud owner of two alienware computers, (laptop, desktop), I would like to recommend you do the following before booting up the system:
1. Open case (if desktop) and check for any lose wires, parts, etc.
2. Once you have it booted up, check updates on all devices installed, (i.e., video card, sound card, etc.)
3. If your BIOS needs to be updated(this happened to me) contact Alienware directly, mainly, if you flash the BIOS without talking with a Alienware rep, it will void your warranty.
I went through 1 month of pain staking updating everything before the system up and jumped to life, it was a problem, but I'll tell ya, I am going to by from them again.
