redzuco rebate fraud

I bought a playstation2 at redzuco.com, which supposedly had a fifty dollar rebate.

When I received the product, I tried to print the rebate form and got a 'file not found' error. .here's their page - notice the link to the rebate form is still there

I contacted the company repeatedly and no response to my request for the form, and I have been trying since the beginning of April.

They have no telephone number, so the only means of contact is email.

Either they are totally incompetent or they are engaging in fraud.

Either way, in my opinion DON'T buy anything from them if you want to avoid the problems I had

Well that sucks. What a better way to scam people than to have links that don't work. I guess you should always check out the links before buying

You should just be really happy that you even got your product. I ordered a $699 camera from the rip off artists RITZO CAMERA and I have yet to receive my item. So....just be happy that you weren't actually "ripped off" because you did get your product..and at the price for what's in the stores. It still sucks that companies can lure you in by linking false rebates but still...
Hope this makes you feel a little better.

solution: SPAM THEM!!!!!!

My scanner purchase was done at this store SOLELY due to the fact that they have rebates. I am smart enough to keep everything--I mean, I even have a photocopy of the envelope I used to send in my forms back in Feb!

But they stink for getting the money out that they owe, so I have begun my assult:

1) hundreds of daily emails of the same message.

2) at least 4 30-page faxes to them a day.

3) a nice call each day.

4) emails to all personnel I have.

there is another thread in this forum somewhere with all the email and fax and phone numbers, and many many many more posts on this exact company.

They are fraudsters and some, myself included, have also contacted police, BBB, Atty General, and even the FBI. I contacted Network Solutioons, where they have their site set up, and I also had my Visa card put a charge back authorization on my card for the $30 they owe me. I told Visa that "no, not all the parts of the product arrived. The final part was a rebate and it is more than 13 weeks out." I faxed them 40 pages of material, including printouts frmo the other thread on this company and all info on my rebate, which I kept.

Some would think this is nuts but hey, you are talking to someone who NEVER loses a battle with a rebate scammer and trust me, they are not the only ones! But they sure have made out on this deal and I want to bring them down--or at least get back my $30! Yes it is worth the battle. They tell me to be patient but trust me, this is not over til I see the money. I continue to SPAM them as we speak and will jam up the fax and even mail them letters. All it costs is a bit of time and some 37 cent stamps.

Krista is the rebates manager who is NEVER there.

866-615-1961 - fax

spam them! Make them work to get rid of you. they should NOT be allowed to scam us and make us wait so they can get our money--or entice us falsely with no intent to pay up, and yet, they gain marketshare by doing so! NO WAY!

Here just one of my recent emails to them:
+++++++++++

Hello again Redzuco,

I have just faxed you a bunch of pages correspoonding to my pending and very late rebate you owe me. The reason I did this is because you blew me off again (I expected a promt reply on Friday that never came!)

I will continue to contact you with this information and I am emailing you now because you failed to reply to my 5/19 email that asked you to define WHEN you can pay me.

In my messages(s) I had suggested you tell me a date for solid payment, or give me a payment schedule. I have been very patient all along but it was you who changed all of that. Remember that you did not hear from me until I found that you were already rather late on sending me my $30 payment. That's when I started contacting you.

I think you should send it now and then you will done hearing from me. Otherwise this cannot stop. How could it? Think about it. So make it easy on yourself and kindly do what is right. The week is new and I have allllll the time in the world to spend on this. For you, all it takes is a pen and a check book, a 37cent stamp and a phone call or confirmation email stating that the check is in the mail. Of course it has to actually arrive in a timely manner and it has to also cash without bouncing, but if you can send it I leave you alone. Call this what you will but ask yourself what you would do if this was all in reverse!

Lastly, I would overnight my payment to ensure proper handling and delivery! Soon I will have to start charging fees for all my wonderfully helpful tips on how you should run your business. Obviously you have a problem with deliverables and I bet this hurts the bottom line.

I am expecting my money now!

redzuco rebates paid

There are lots of rebate programs going on out there and eligibility takes a long time. After following up with my rebate I received it about a coupe of weeks late.

However, I disagree with the people here who want to SPAM or HARASS resellers. Defamation, harassment, and spam is illegal and I don't endorse it.

these blogs are out of control

Seems like there's lots of unfair competition going on. I did purchase from redzuco, only because they had the lowest price, which they did. Then they had a rebate, which they paid, not in 8 weeks, but in 12 weeks in my case. Now, marathon man suggests that we SPAM this company. Way to go marathon man. Maybe we should SPAM Microsoft every time our software crashes.

Because we should come to expect inferior quality products and misleading or outright untrue advertising? Maybe Microsoft would quit rushing products to market if people would retaliate a bit more or [gasp] stop purchacing their products. Besides sending one person or company any number of emails from your own computer in reference to a problem you have that they are not doing anything about isn't spam at all, even if it may be a bit excessive in this case.

You have to fight for your right to party!

I do not tolerate stupidity and lazy business practices. Nor do I tolerate the kinds of twists and lies that marketing puts on some product and services. Read the fine print--if you can see it, buy this, get a rebate 4 months later--maybe...

OK, so stuff like that may drive the 'big engine,' but it sure does suck sometimes! And yes if we tolerate or do not pick battles, they will up the anti and raise prices and expectations even more. Gas went up because you and I let it! We don't fight the big picture and that's the real reason why it did--but don't even get me started on that one. I gotta go fill my tank anyway right now and have no time to talk about it--because I am too busy to sit down with the general public and try to find another way.

So anyway, I did Spam RedZuco... I spammed them from 4 email addresses and faxed them from 4 friend's work places with 3-4 times a day, 30 pages of info on my rebate every day for 4 days. I had written responses to everything I could think of that they would try to come up with as excuses, and each were professional enough and not laced with profanity, etc (although I wanted to!)

I figured if they are reasonable, they will cave. It could take a while but I let them know two things:

1) I will not give up and I have time, and 2) I am right, they owe the $30, I have waited and their actions will lead to bad PR unless they fix the problem now.

I even faxed printouts of pages from THIS forum showing that you all had the same problems! they are not lies so why not, right?

I hope to have jammed up their fax machines and slowed sales. I emailed everyone there to make it well known this one guy from BOSTON would not give up without getting that $30--NOW. I suggested they overnight it and if they mailed it USPS, how many days it shoudl come. This was all done in between tasks in my normal office day. The ramp up to collect all materials I needed was easy too since I know to save everything when I sign up or buy ANYTHING! The only thing that took any time at all was writing the emails once and writing posts in here. This is being done in the time it takes to heat up a frozen dinner (by the way, it was a special at a local store--with a mail in rebate coupon too--ha ha ha)

Anyway, during my battle process with a business which is obviously trying to push out payment as much as possible, they had been emailing me back trying to say they needed time, etc and I nicely said, "NO because you would not let ME pay YOU late, would you?!" I asked them to come up with a payment schedule and also told them they would be rid of me if they paid it. I told them if they did pay it, I would probably start talking nicely about them and send new business. I would if they started to pay all you guys off too and corrected whatever backlog they have! If they do not, I will not do business with them. They know they need to fix a problem so if they do, then they would be fine. If they had sent partial payment and a real explaination instead of a canned response, then this all woudl have been avoided.

I spammed them and spammed them and then I spammed them again.

...And guess what:

14 weeks out my rebate check CAME. Yup, they actually replied telling me it would come and the minute I got that email from Kristin, I thanked her, CCd the others and stopped spamming and faxing! And then it did come 3 days later in US postal mail. I have not cashed teh check because it came on Friday and I was away on holliday til this morning but once I do, if it does not bounce, I will be done.

In the end, no real stress, just a thick packet, some adminstratvie savvy and a willingness to NEVER give up!

later, I guess as it becomes necessary, I will call Visa and ask them to release the charge bak on them for $30 (the amount of my rebate) but I think I will wait a little longer for that--you know, when RedZuco has the time to go ask to have that reversed themselves. Let 'em sweat it out a little!...

You see, in my vast experience with this sort of thing--and I have files on it from years back, one has to push and fight sometimes but hey, $30 is $30! It adds up, sends a message and makes me a happier and more confident consumer. THAT also drives the 'big engine,' ya know!

MM

If you all wish I will post copies of some if the emails I sent and you can borrow lines from them to try it on your own! Make your problem their biggest problem of that day and they WILL cave!

GOOD LUCK all naysayers and all others suffering this same fate, no matter the amount of $.
