worst buying experience so far

I ordered a 60mm Nikon lens from Express Camera and was promised that the lens is in stock. Two weeks later, no lens, no e-mail and getting the order status department on the line is not easy. Then I found out that the US Warranty is not Nikon, it is an in house Warranty. They are selling grey market lenses and hope that you think it is a US Nikon lens because of getting a US Warranty. I canceled two days ago and did not get my credit so far. Never again, I rather pay a little more.

I'm a newbie to the slr photo world but I can feel your pain concidering Express, I ordered one of their packages for a Digital Rebel. The package was supposed to cost $900 + Shipping. They called me and outright lied to me about what was supposed to come with the Rebel, and missrepresented themselves completly. All I needed with the "kit" they offered was a extra battery and I thought I'd spring for a card reader. When their conman got done, I was dupped into an $1189 package that cost me $95 more than that. I was talked into the $1189 out the door price on a package that should have only cost the price of a spare battery on top of the $900 price. We agreed on $1189 out the door w/shipping included and they turned around and charged me $95 for S & H on top of that. I love the camera but for a guy on a pention, it was a very expensive mistake. I've bought a lot of astronomy equiptment via the web but was never outright lied to and charged for something I should have gotten without being charged before.
