Newegg, never again
Well, after 5 calls and 4 days, Newegg cancelled my order. They can't seem to get my credit card verified, even though I called the CC several times to make sure they had the right information. I'm kicking myself now as I could have spent $50 more and ordered from TD and ZZF and had my stuff today so I could have my machine built for the weekend.
What a bunch of clowns. They verify information once a day, and don't bother to verify it while on the phone when it's obvious that you're anxious to get your order.
Thanks for wasting an entire week Newegg...
Oh, and the best part? They still have a lock on the funds on my CC, so now I have to call them to have it released before I can order from someone else. Isn't that great. At least I get to rub it in that I'm buying from ZZF and TD rather than them.

VERY unusual for newegg... I've had nothing but positive experiences from them, as have many, many others based on their popularity and reseller rating reviews.
Were you trying to do anything out of the ordinary like ship to a third party? I had to call my credit card company to allow that before Newegg could charge me using the 3rd party's shipping address.
Anyway, give them another shot... they've got good prices and (normally) excellent service.

The issue was that my CC bills to a PO Box, and I needed it shipped (obviously) to my house. Legitimate issue, but was taken care of on Monday.
My opinion is that they should have verified the info as soon as I updated it rather than waiting until the close of the day. I'd get off the phone having verified the info and not find out until the next day that there was a problem. I burned 4 days dealing with what should have been an easy fix.

Using a CC with any retailer might be a problem if the bill address is PO box & shipping to a different address. Newegg is one of the best retailers out there

Yeah this problem is an atypical problem. Most users will have the billing and shipping address as the same.
Actually in my case I have my billing address at home and my shipping to work and it didn't delay my order one bit. I ordered on Wednesday and received on Friday with super saver shipping.

Hats off to newegg for their security measures. Some companies will take a CC number off anyone.

Newegg isn't the cheapest deal on the net...
They are particular about having the correct shipping address...
They sometimes screw up...
Forget all that!
My Mushkin 512 MB RAM arrived today, in a huge, well padded, free FedEx Saver shipping box.
*** 2 (maybe 3) days after I placed the order, I forget ***
In the meantime, I'm still waiting for packages from other sellers which were ordered 9 days ago...
Newegg Rocks!

Newegg, never again - too bad
I've had to deal with the same problem. However, it wasn't Newegg's fault. It was the banks. I had to jump through the same hoops as you, and wait when I needed the parts right now.
Newegg doesn't approve your credit card, but only verifies it. The banks are the one's who are supplying the information. So taking it out on Newegg is not right.
