FedEx, what the smeg?!
I've generally had great, though not perfect, experiences with FedEx.
Not since I moved to Wood River, Illinois. The previous two deliveries were "attempted" while I was at home. The first while I was on my ars in the living room. The front door is only 10 feet from this chair, and then a screen door another 5 feet from there. I was reading Eweek, so there was no background noise. I thought I heard the front fence gate close, got up, and wound up looking outside to see nothing more than a delivery attempt note time stamped (3:03PM) 2 minutes prior to my living room clock. I tried to foil him with the next delivery by leaving the front door open, but alas when I went to open the door at 10:00AM, there was already a delivery attempt notice left. If this had been the only occasion, I would give him the benefit of the doubt as he may have knocked while I was in the basement doing laundry...but I'm thinking this guy has these ready to hang for some reason.
So why would a delivery guy do this? Can it really save any time? I'm asking anyone who has ever delivered packages, as I am baffled as to how this measure to save any significant amount of time...but then again, some people are lazy in an illogical sort of way, and just hate doing their job the right way. Or maybe he has fragile bone disease and can't knock hard...but then he should get a stick, eh!
FedEx twice refused to believe my complaint, as they, too, were unable to comprehend why a delivery guy would leave a notice rather than wait for an answer to the door. I was hoping to at least get them to log something as I'm willing to bet in order for this to do him any good he has to do it in mass numbers, and others would be complaining. But I don't think they really cared nor believed me.
But now my third package issue: FedEx claims to have delivered a package yesterday without signature, and at a time at which I was at home. But no package or evidence of FedEx were left at all that day. This should be megga fun.
