DONT BUY IBUYPOWER!!!

This has to be the worst experience ever for me in dealing with any company. When I first ordered from your company I had every intent on ordering a second computer for my dad. I'm glad I never placed that order and I wish I never ordered from you in the first place.

When I first opened my box with the computer and took it out I couldn't believe all the little scratches. Then I noticed a large dent from the installation of the side panel. It was pushed out so it was not a shipping problem. Then the card reader didn't work but tech helped me fix that. Some one there hooked it up wrong.

I used the computer for one month and then it was down hill from there. The power supply and mother board went bad. Was sent another mother board and power supply. When I opened the box with the power supply I noticed that the tamper proof seal was broken on the case. So I requested another be sent. Also I checked into the specifications on the heat sink and fan that was sent on the mother board and found them to be inadequate for the AMD processor that was being used.

You have to send to bad parts back and I was told there would be a shipper label in the boxes. There was none. Called and talked to D**ny and he said I must have lost them. I told him I just opened the boxes and they were not there. Again, sir you must have miss placed them. Finally I got him to e-mail me some.

With the new parts installed the computer ran 2 days and quit just like before. I had to send the computer back for repair. I called to request a shipper label and the guy said no problem whats you e-mail addy. I explained the trouble I had days before about the guy telling me I lost them. He said that the guy didnt know but a few months back they went to an e-mail supplied shipper only. Then he confessed to me that the guy was him (D**ny). Uh huh.

When I called to check on it after it was there for a week I was told it was being tested and should be sent out Friday. I had talked to D**ny before I sent the computer and I told him that I would be sending back the computer without the hard drive and was willing to pay for a new one. I didn't want to send mine with my personal info on it. He said he would call me when the PC arrived for repair to set up payment for the new hard drive. I never got that call. He also read back to me his notes in the computer system about this hard drive replacement so I know it was in there.

Called RMA in the morning a week after the supposed ship date. M**k at RMA said once again "its being tested and should be done today". After I hung up I thought that quit odd that he said nothing about that hard drive so I called customer service to try and get a hold of D**ny. He said he wasn't taking care of it and I had to talk to RMA. Got M**k again at RMA. This time he told me it was the video card and that they were testing it and it would be done today ok. I asked what was going on with the hard drive. He told me that they were testing it out ok. He likes to say "ok" a lot! Tell him its not "ok" and he doesnt know what to say. I mean dead air!

I said how could you be testing it when I didn't send one. He said he was going to send me back the PC without one and he didn't know what the warranty would be since I didn't supply mine. I had to explain to him again that I was going to pay for a new one that it was in the computer system. Finally I could hear him reading to himself and then he said well its in the system but not his system but he sees it now and that I need to talk to Customer service.

I would like to know what the heck is going on over there? So now I start talking to Br**n the sales manager. He says that M**k is talking about one computer "A" as he called it and I'm talking about computer "B". That there must be some misunderstanding between me and M**k. I told Br**n that I provided my customer number. His reply was well maybe M**k typed it in wrong. I told him I've called M**k three different times that morning with the same number and keep getting the same story. Again "there must be some confussion between you and M**k". FUNNY HOW THEY ARE NEVER WRONG AT IBUYPOWER!

I wanted to purchase and requested that the same hard drive be installed. Also Br**n took my info and he read back that it had a Maxtor. The invoice also says Maxtor but there is now a Western Digital in my computer now. Br**n also didn't seem to under stand why I was so upset because according to his records my first problem was 2/22. Well then how is it that the first replacement parts were sent to me on 2/11 and that's after days of dealing with tech support.

Now I have my PC back. I open the box and the first thing I see is that my modem card is laying between the power supply and the side panel. So I called Br**n about it. His reply was thats its out off his hands and theres nothing he could do about it, and to just shake the case to find the missing screw and put the card back in. I now also have some new really deep scratches to the top from the repair that go to bare metal through the paint on my case. No screws holding on the side panel and no screw to be found that should've been holding in the modem card. The graphics card is different than what I had. I was told by Br**n it was the same chip set. This one is so big it covers up an extra expansion slot. Oh and my computer still doesn't work right! First thing I noticed was that the two rear case fans were not connected or running. Also now I have all these broken pixels on my screen. I can barely see the Windows background screen. Now I have to go through more tech support and am now waiting for a video card to be sent to me.

I have owned this PC for 106 days and have only been able to use it about 30 of those. Next thing you know the one year warranty will be over and my new case looks like it be dragged across the floor. Curse you IBUYPOWER. Get youself a quality department and learn to call your customer about their PC's that are there for repair.

Keep in mind I was told that this thing ran for 2 days for testing by Br**n. Nice work (not). It will be interesting to see what they send me now for a replacement video card.

I to would like to know what kind of action can be taken.

It may be to late but I would contact your credit card company about disputing the charges for the system. If possible return it and get your money back. They won't do this willingly but maybe with the help of your credit card company they may do it. Even if you have to pay all the shipping etc. Avoid this place like the plague, seems every week or so someone writes a similar post about Ibuypower. I would recommend building your own system, hey you couldn't do any worse than they have and you have the choice of buying better parts. Good Luck
