Yikes!!!
I just ordered a complete computer, and I did so on the basis, at least in large part, of the three-year warranty. I hope Monarch weighs in positively on this!

Call them. I haven't called them before, but the reviews indicate good customer service.

Ask about the onsite warranty. Cancel your order if you are not comfortable. You can always order again tomorrow if you so wish.

Don't let anyone pressure you into keeping your order (not that they do at this vendor), they haven't even checked to see if your parts are compatible yet.

Just to clear things up, I was NOT recommending a HP, I would never do that. As i stated before the link, it was an example. The few HP's that I do own have been redone from scratch by me and as such are okay.

Hope your purchase goes well, the best computer is the one that never ends up needing the support.

BTW, im sure a geek in MA could be located on one of the dozens of tech forums. If I happen to run across one, ill point them here.

I think you will find the 3-year warranty is as good as any in the industry. Monarch has built its name on quality and will stand by the products. The best advise I see would be to feel free to call the toll free number with any questions or concerns and somebody will be more than happy to discuss them with you.

I am going ahead with my order through Monarch. I am relying on what I have read here and elsewhere about their unmatched customer service. I am crossing my fingers that my computer will not need any more than one on-site visit per year. Based on Monarch's quality reputation, I suspect (and hope) my computer will not even need one on-site visit.

Believe me, I will be back on this board (as well as others) in a heartbeat with my positive reviews if Monarch comes through.

I hope it works well. The system I got looks great, interior is great, runs fine, and came in the best packaging I've ever seen.

And to be fair, the telephone troubleshooting I described earlier seems to be common (I am getting quotes now from lots of places for more work PCs). I just wish I knew beforehand that there was only 1 service visit. Still, with as much testing as they advertise for custom systems, you shouldn't have any problems.

I agree completely. Without your post, I would not have known that. I emailed my sales rep at Monarch (Eric) and told him as much. My sales rep was fantastic, but I do wish the "one site visit per year only" policy were communicated in advance by the reps. Especially for someone like me who does not know how to change a lightbulb and is buying Monarch with a three -year warranty based in large part on the high customer service ratings.

You'll need to watch them like a hawk.
When you write your review, if it shows them poorly, they will give you a great, yet believable, line of what went wrong. For example, new help, new system problems, old system problems, new software problems ect. General lip service with a bribe to have you change your negitive review. Long story short, my credit card company needed to get involved for me to get my money back...

Good luck!

I have not heard of your computers. I would have been very interested! I am still waiting for my monarch computer. I hope it turns out well. Thanks anyway.
