Kids How much of a power supply do I need?

Hello there everyone. I'm going to overhaul my computer. I was wondering how much of a power supply I'm going to need for the following components-

AMD Athlon 64 3400+
Asus K8V SE Deluxe
MSI 6600 GT
modem
soundcard
2 optical drives (1 is a Sony DRU-710A )
1 floppy drive
1 40 GB Seagate Hard drive

All of this is going to be enclosed in an Antec Super Lanboy.
I was considering an Antec 430 watt but I would like to move down if I could (should).
Thanks for the help.

Send a message via ICQ to JPMiller
Even with upgrades and extra fans etc.
your max is 400W
I suggest a TT420 for $43 shipped...

more than enough and at a good price...

That is a good mobo, has good 6 channel onboard sound... so unless your using an Audigy 2 or something, I would just use the onboard..
However... not that its necessarily a bad thing, but it is a socket 754 board wich may have some upgradability issues as it seems to be being phased out...you may want to consider switching to a 939 platform instaed...

Is there a reason your going with a 3400+?
for $75 less you could get the 3000+ and there would be little if any difference in perfomance...

Thanks for the recommendations, JPMiller. I think I will go with an Asus K8N SLI and an AMD 3200+. I will, however go with an Antec Power Supply (430 watts).

It's always nice to have a well backed power supply and a nice bit of headroom for upgrades.
