Falcon Northwest feedback
Other than their prices, is there any negative feedback on Falcon Northwest? I have heard many complaints about their prices, but have never once heard any negatives on any other aspect of FNW. Have I missed something?
I am not a do-it-yourselfer computer builder, so I am going to pay someone to build. I also will pay for a name and great customer service. Thus, I am interested in FNW.
Your thoughts?

If you don't mind spending the money I would definitely go with Falcon NW or Voodoo. Just stay away from Alienware

Falcon_2004, JRJ or anyone else that owns a Falcon or Voodoo, did you consider building your own system? If you did, but still went with FNW or V, what led you to that decision?
Falcon/JRJ, any issues with your rigs? How has the service been? What do you feel you got from FNW/Voodoo that others could not provide (ABS, Velocity, ibuy, cyberpower)? What are your rig's specs?
Thanks guys.

I've never owned a Falcon NW or Voodoo, I can only recommend them by their ratings and positive customer feedback. You pay a very big price for them, but it appears the customer support is excellent. I have owned an Alienware though and for the price their service sucks. However Alienware got me to build my own computer. I have owned Packard Hell (Bell), Dell, Gateway, Alienware and Ibuypower. Ibuypower had the best service for me, even though their ratings are not that good anymore. I just got tired of paying more for a pre-built but not getting the service for it so I decided to build my own and contiunuallly upgrade it. Right now my specs are
AMD Athlon XP 2800+
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe MOBO
1GB PC 3200 Samsung RAM
Leadtek 6800GT video card
120GB Seagate HD
I need to upgrade my CPU and MOBO which comes next. I just upgraded my Vid card HD and addes some more RAM. If I ever have tech issues I find I can find the answers on tech boards. Building a computer isn't that hard and I would recommend it, but if you decide on a pre-built, and don't mind spending the money it appears Voodoo and Falcon NW are your best bets. They seem to support their customers very well.

Hello,
I never have the time to build my own computer. Having a wife and four children there is no time. About looking at others before I bought my Falcon Northwest computer, I looked at them all Voodoo, Alienware, and Micro…etc. What tipped me towards Falcon was when I called. The people working over at Falcon new there stuff, and answered my question every time.
I had one issue with my computer from Falcon. After about four months of owner ship, my computer started to freeze on me while I was playing Far Cry. I play all my games on the highest setting they will go, and I push it to the max. I called Falcon and after only two rings on the phone I was talking to a live English speaking person. I told them what was going on and they decided that it must be the video card. Now, here is were you get great service; at less it is to me. They offered to either send out a new video card or they would have the computer picked up and sent back to them for the repair.
I decided to send it in, just incase its was something else. They had the computer for about seven days and sent it back to me. Before it was sent to them they told me to have a note asking for anything else so I asked for all drivers and a new restore disc made for the computer. They also benched it again under full load to make sure it ran with no problems. They even gave me new bench sores, of which were better then before.
Ok, long story, but with a great ending. Not only did they replace the video card, but also they installed a new power supply. They also up dated all drivers, and gave a new restore disc. Falcon emailed me and called to keep me updated during the whole process. I for one think Falcon as done more for a customer then any other computer I have ever owned and this is my 15th computer I have owned to date.

Falcon_2004, wow, that is quite an endorsement! While it might be tough to quantify the service you received, I am sure you feel like you are got what you paid for. As I evaluate the options, the service you wrote about is #1 on my list of needs. I figure a 1/2 decent system with outstanding service is better than a great system with questionnable service. However with FNW you get an awesome system and what sounds to be incredible service.
I am in a similar situation with regard to familial obligations and a lack of time to commit to building my own machine. So to hear your resounding praise of FNW, I am so tempted to call them tomorrow. I mean to get not only the new graphics card but PSU and a tuned system back, that is pretty impressive.
Thanks a lot for your reply. I'll post back here when I decide what I am going to do on the new rig.
