Outlook 200 vs. Outlook 2004

Hi,
I use Outlook 2000 and always have to turn off the AVG Antivirus email protection in order to send emails. Maybe with a newer version I won't have to do that.
Is there a big upgrade from the 2000 to the 2004 edition?
Will it be worth upgrading?
I'm using Outlook in order to sync with my iPAQ 3630-using OS:3.0
Otherwise I might consider another email program.
If you have any advice, I'll appreciate it very much.

Minor detail but the newest version of Outlook is 2003. Since there isn't a real need to scan outgoing mail, have you looked for a setting in AVG to not scan outgoing?

Outlook

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I have made the adjustment in AVG not to scan outgoing messages.
It's just a little annoying that it keeps reminding me that the outgoing scan is turned off.
I didn't know that Outlook is not updated yearly. So, it's good to know that there isn't much of a change in the program.
Again, thanks for your thoughts.
