Newegg knowingly selling defective merchandise?

I've ordered many items from newegg in the past. They have always been great shipping items on time & I love the website layout.

However, I’ve had a problem getting too many defective items (mostly motherboards or related components). I’ve also noticed people with the same type of problem. Like others have mentioned, customer service has done a fairly good job of replacing these items but I'm beginning to suspect that newegg might knowingly be purchasing second hand or slightly defective products from venders in bulk without customer notification. This is just purely speculation on my part due to the fact that it happens more than it should. It could be possible that many people might not even know they have something defective if the problem is minor enough.

Overall I'm still pretty happy with newegg, but I've hesitated on purchasing certain items from them lately & ordered those items from other sources.

Those are some pretty harsh comments you have there. Do you have any kind of proof besides speculation?

I've had one motherboard that I purchased from them that was bad, but it was sold under "Refurbished" which was sold as-is. Other than that, out of $13,000 worth of merchandise I've spent with them over the past few years (I totaled it up), that was it.

I have bought over 5000.00 dollars from them in the last 18 months, and have had about 8 defects in that time. I believe five of them was from the refurb. section, and one was missing a cpu, just received the heatsink..lol... Newegg made good on it. As many items that they ship out daily, they will have products that show up bad. I mean we are dealing with electical produces here. But as far as newegg, i still use them for all my main buys, and zip, zoom fly for my other ones. I think they do a great job for what they have to go through daily, and hope they keep up the good work.
Ps: everthing in my signature was bought from newegg
