They are a legit company. I have ordered things from them before and I have also rma'd items from them.
I am sure that they have been out of stock on items and they did not update their inventory on the web page so you probably have a $600.00 order that is complete except the 2$ fan that they happened to be out of stock of that they know is coming in next week so instead of emailing you and letting you change your order (because they would lose money of course and also be gambling that you would cancel the whole thing at this point) they wait until the 1 item comes in and then send you an email saying they are sooooo sorry and that they will reimburse you the 4.99 for having to wait for 2 weeks for your item.
You will get your item but you are held hostage...and don't you dare cancel it because that just makes a big mess with the credit card company.
They will probably ship it the day you cancel it.
I have ordered from over 20 online companies through the years and this seems to be a common practice for the smaller ones that have a handful of people that work for them. Especially throught the holliday season because they are so under staffed.
GameVE is usually better than this but this stuff does happen.
I usually never pay extra for shipping because every time I do it ends up taking just as long as the regular shipping charges.
I had the same thing happen to me just a few weeks before christmas with SVC. They did the same thing to me. (post below) I always try to expand my horizon when I buy things for myself online but it never seems to be worth it. So if I need an item to fix a customers computer I always stick with what I know (you know?, once you know?)
If given the chance now wouldn't you have rather gone in debt for 25$ and ordered it from newegg?
