refub? New? fishy outpost deals.......
Recently friend and I spotted that outpost has some awesome deals on no matter what..... (Memory, HD, Notebooks....) and at the beginning of those deals, we found some of those awesome price notebooks are refub (says on the title, then moved to the middle, and then the refub moved to the bottom of the page), but for some reason after couple days later, where says refub is gone but the price is still amazing!!! Great deal!! is what we thought until friend and I bought couple Corsair XMS 512mb PC3700 for 99.99 + shipping. Brand New package but you can tell its used... where the pins are not fresh, the LED is damaged (not at the right position) called up local Fry's and they said we can only ship back for refund.......
well, just wanna post here to see if anyone got the same problem as we got? and if so, how do we check out if the stuff we ordered or about to order are refub or not?
PS:
looks like some of those **** tricks has been used recently to those major superstores... remember the hold back trick? pricing something good for cheap X800 xt for 399 on March and once you ordered it, says not in stock and hold you for 3 months til the market drops to $370.......SAD this happens when I used to shop over pricewatch and ebay, now some of those superstores are doing it .........................
