refurb. prices at newegg

I was just on newegg looking to buy some refurb. parts, and got to checking some of the prices on there. I got to finding that a lot of the items they have are priced higher than what they sell retail, u save on shipping but the price is higher. I was looking at some refurb. sata cables that they had for $5.79 and a dollar shipping. than I went and look at the price on the retail ones and the price on them was $2.55 and $4.99 shipping. So the only thing i can say is to check before u buy refurb. cause you might get the retail version for a buck or two more Not worth the headach to buy the refurb anymore. There was a lot more items i checked and was the same way also.
Don't get me wrong I like buying from newegg(over 5grand in the past yr.), but I have learned here lately to check prices before jumping in there to buy something from them
So if anyone thinks I am wrong for speaking out about this let know....
The rig below all the parts come from newegg, and this is one of 7 that I have built useing them..

On some parts (especially cheaper ones) the prices are as much as or higher. But in a lot of cases, the prices are significantly lower.

One thing to consider is this. On certain (not all) products, prices fluctuate. You could buy this product Oct 1 for $10 but on Oct 15, from a different B2B (Business to Business) purchase, the prices are cheaper - $5. From the original sale of the original B2B purchase the item was returned and is charged at a similar or discounted rate from that original price. Although it looks more expensive than the Oct 15 purchase price, it is stocked from the Oct 1 sales, thus the higher prices.

I hope I've not confused you.
