Express Cameras = Crooks!

They burned me and a lot of other people. Get the word out. These guys are rip off artists. Do not buy from them! They are BAD NEWS and should be put out of business.

I ordered a Canon 75-300 USM III lens they advertised for $139. They called to confirm my order and told me the Canon lens is out of stock and discontinued, and that I should upgrade to a Sigma 70-300 APO for $189. I said I didn't want to spend that much more money so they offered it for $149 and I agreed. The lens arrived in three days, works fine, but I noticed on my CC bill they charged $189 (the $26 3-day shipping plus the $149 is a tad bit less than that). I complained but it fell on deaf ears. If I had found resellerratings.com and read any of the many VERY BAD reviews beforehand, I would have just ordered an excellent used lens from KEH (who has many VERY GOOD reviews).

The way to get crooks like ExpressCameras, RoyalCameras/GeniusCameras out of business is through their pocketbook. Even if we might not successfully sue them (and actually collect), we can still cost them.

RUN UP THEIR TOLL-FREE PHONE BILLS! Have everyone you know, and their dog, call them several times a day: complain or just ask stupid questions, or pretend you reached a wrong number. See if their numbers accept calls from phone booths, too (if they do, they get charged 35-50 cents extra per call). If there is at least some feigned legitimacy to your call, even if they do figure out what's going on there is nothing they can do about any individual caller.

I have also been scammed by these crooks! I fell for the swich and bait tactics too. When I wanted to return them, I was hung up on and screamed at. I finally got somewhere when I mentioned doing a credit card dispute. I was charged over $170 when I was told it was $30. They credited everything back but shipping. I am disputing that thru my cc comp. now!
