Hi. I was wondering what the stock HSF that comes with the athlon xp 2500 can cool up to because i may want to use it on my uncle's 2800 model. Thanks.
You could try it and monitor the Temps. It definatly won't kill the CPU if it is on correctly. Just watch the temps and see if it is satisfactory for you.
Just make sure you get some good thermal paste on there.
