Problems with BCD2000

Does anyone have knowledge of what's going on with the vendor bcd2000.com? Have they closed shop or what? Are customers losing money?

BCD2000.com is listed as a vendor on ASUS's website. I need a particular ASUS motherboard and BCD2000 was the only listed vendor that indicated they had it in stock. So about a week and half ago, I placed an order on line, and I got order acknowledgement e-mails from them. And then I waited. After three days, I had no indication that it was shipped, or any other news. My order status on the BCD2000 website simply indicated "not yet shipped." So I called and was told, "sorry -- it had been back-ordered but we have it now and will ship it the next business day."

Well, by the time the next business day came around, their website was down and it's been down ever since (5 days now!). No response to my further e-mails. Their 800 number is constantly busy and all their other lines seem to be dead. And needless to say, I have not received the motherboard.

I wish I had come to resellerratings.com before placing the order. Looking at the rating history for bcd2000.com, particularly over the last three months, is interesting indeed. (No, this is not an advertisement for resellerratings.com -- I've actually never been to this web site prior to my current attempts to figure out what's going on with BCD2000.) Fortunately, they have not charged my card (yet), but based on the comments of some others, I think I'd better watch out for that.

Anyway, I'd be interested in any information anyone has on bcd2000. I'd also be interested in any information on where I can get an ASUS P4B266-C motherboard.

Better Business Bureau listing

They have an UNSATISFACTORY rating. They also have a couple of different phone numbers listed for them. Not just their 1-800 number.

Yes, I have since seen that BBB listing. (Again, I wish I had checked it out before placing the order.) And I've tried every phone number I can find. Of the two numbers shown on that BBB listing, one of them seems to be dead -- no ring, no busy tone, nothing. The other one seems to have been disconnected.

Their 800 number also seems to be dead.

Bottom-left of this page has a "testimonial" from BCD2000.com from 06/06/2004. You might just call up the hosting company and tell them you can't get on their site. They may/many not tell you if they've paid their bill lately.
