I always shied away from newegg before because I could usually get stuff cheaper elsewhere. But I got tired of the hassles I experienced form all these small time companies with no real inventory, and the amount of time they took.

17 orders with newegg in the last year, well over 14k worth of product and everytime it has gotten here in less time than stated (alwyas at least one day earlier) and NEVER have received a bad product.

They are right, it is hard to blame a company for items arriving DOA in most cases. It's not like tehy pull them out of the packageing and play with them. That's why you get all those pretty stickers sealing everything up, like the antistatic bags taht come around most parts.

They always seemed to overpack stuff to me. My recent Ram came in the retail package, wrapped in bubble wrap, stuck in a box 10x it's size packed tightly with peanuts. Much better than the newspaper solutions I've seen others used, or the one that just slapped a shipping label on the retail package.

I returned an OEM processor to Newegg because it would not remain stable at the manufacturer's recommended voltage. I had purchased their Extended Warranty service and was pleased to find out that not only did they refund my money, but they refunded my Extended Warranty money as well. By then I had a couple more dollars in my pocket so i bought another processor from them, a more expensive one.

I would like to say nothing but good things about newegg. But. I bought a 9800 pro, it died after 9 months. No problem for Newegg so far. When I contacted Newegg, they said I would have to ship it back and wait for a repair or replacement.
I requested a cross ship, which they denied.
I asked if I could give them a CC number to cross ship. "No, that's not our policy"
Asked if I could pay to get one, then refund when they receive mine. again, "no, against policy"
Well, I finally search through their site until I find that what I requested is **exactly** their policy. I call them back and am told something to the effect that they don't really like to do this?!? I am finally told the procedure to follow to make this happen. This was like pulling teeth!

BTW, I still haven't gotten my refund yet. Card was received on 7/26. NEWEGG? hello, I'd like my money! If I had been without a video card this long, I would be red hot.

I agree with the new search engine being hard they will have to lose customers over that. I am also sorry to hear of your bad luck with the egg.
I do agree that lately they seem to be slipping alot on small things for me but at least i learned to go elsewhere a long time ago. Unless it is the only place i can find what i need i dont go there. Made 1 purchase in the last month or 2 and since the new search came out wont go back till it is fixed to be user friendly again.
