Nvidia GeForce2 MX/MX400 is what i have now, will i notice a huge difference if i say bought a Radeon9600xt or if someone could recommend one of the new nvidia ones. If its not gonna be a huge difference im not gonna bother though
if you just surf and word..ect...(strictly 2d stuff) then...no you will see no difference at all
how ever if you game and use the 3d side of thing then most likely you will see a HUGE difference...the 9600xt is a really good card and you get a lot of bang for your buck with it(cource the 9800xt would be better but big price difference)....
i been on a ATI 8500 for almost two years and have never had a problem with it (crappy overclocker though) and i am just waiting for the 9800xt to come down a little more in price and i'm getting it.
between your MX 400 and the 9600xt you will notice a HUGE difference in games as stated above.
But depending on your budget you may be better off going with a 9800pro which is a big jump after the 9600xt or the 9600pro which is the best card for the price and only 5-10% slower than the XT version.
evilphantomx, I wouldn't go with the 9800 XT, it costs way to much. The X800 pro is at least 2x as powerfull and it is the same price as, or cheaper than the 9800 XT.
