When all else fails...beg! (rebates)

I had a $150 rebate....one of those kind where u look at it and go "oh yeah, plenty of time to turn it in"

so I go to send it in...and to my horror the postmark date I was looking at was for Hawaii and Alaska customers...so of course when i saw my "postmark by" date..it was LIKE 5 DAYS AGO.

So after I said "oh crap" a few times...I picked up the phone and called the number...expecting them to say "sorry Sirm there is nothing we can do"....to which I was going to try to beg sympathy because of the dual dates posted in such fine print.

Anyway the lady was nice and just gave me a ref number and told me to send it in.



Mad props to Office Depot!!!


Moral of the story....even if u have done hundreds of rebates..DONT PROCRASTINATE!!!!

and if u make a mistake....at least call the number and be honest and maybe you'll catch a break....(and pray first too, lol)

Haha, i guess you are lucky, sent two rebate for products bought at stupid tigerdirect.ca and both of them were rejected. One of them said I turned it in late for ONE DAY and wouldn't honor my rebate...I was clearly within the postmark date and they still say they couldn't do anything about it...
