Is this cheap software legit? XP Pro $40??

I found this website that is selling some incredibly cheap software. http://allofoem.biz/index.html

The weird address seems kinda suspicious, the name of the company is "oem-cd". They have XP pro for $40 and photoshop 7.0 for $40. They ship from Eastern Europe.

I agree Bill.. sounds wayyyyyy too good to be true. I mean cmon.. Windows Server 2003 for $80? MS Advanced Server for $100? Autocad LT for $100? 3D Studio Max for $280.. over $6000 off? Nooo way.. SCAM!!

Here's my take.

It's possible that someone has a case of legit OEM CD's that they're selling cheaply to make some cash fast. If you've got a truckload of OEM stuff, you can sell it for $1 if you want. There's nothing saying you have to gouge the consumer for $499.

That said, it's very likely that it's a scam. There are just too many things going against it.

• Prices that are too good to be true
• A domain registered in South America (Brazil) that claims to be in Eastern Europe.
• Long delivery times

It's almost certainly a scam. At best you'll probably get a CDR with a pirated copy of Windows on it. At worst, you'll lose the monet.

For $20, you could roll the dice and see -- after all, it's only $20. But, that's probably why the price is $20 - if it were $50, a lot fewer people would roll the dice...

Do they take major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex)? If so, your purchase will likely be reimbursed if it's fraud. DO NOT pay by PayPal, Check or Western Union.
