I'd like to make another suggestion & put some money back in your pocket.............

Get this motherboard-------------> http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...131-489&depa=1

And this processor --------------> http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...103-379&depa=1

'Nuff said!

Personally, I'm going to get an Athlon 64 3200+ or 3400+ with either this:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...170-117&depa=1

or this:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...131-491&depa=1

I've convinced myself (over the past few months) from looking at benchmarks, reviews, experience from users who have this, etc.

GO for the AMD 64 series. Foward compatibility, new games are coming out with 64 bit enhancements (HL2 for example) and the MS XP64 is free for the asking right now. I have the 3200+ and it kicks A right now. I got the XP64 mailed from Redmond (also can be downloaded and burned to CD) and I will load when the current OS needs to be "refreshed". Check the boards for the free MS link to this, I got it here a few months ago.
