I had something similar happen to me just this past week when I ordered a set of wheels from WheelsNext.com for my Galant. On the site they were listed as $599 w/ free shipping. Even on my receipt that I recieved in my email said I would be charged $599.
Next day I get a call with a person from WheelsNext telling me that they are shipping the wheels and the total cost after shipping, including lug nuts, and mounting & balance them before shipping is $749. I said.. OK.
Why? Because I used my credit card and strike one was the company charged my card 3 days before they shipped the product. Visa/MC merchant guidelines state you are not to charge a customers CC until the product ships. Strike 2 was the fact that they gave me a receipt for $599 and charged me $749. When the wheels come I'm going straight to my bank to dispute the extra charge.
