Ebay problems...can anyone relate??

Okay..yes I am one of the rare folks who has never bought or sold on ebay.

So I happen to have a Dell optiplex that needs a motherboard....so I find a nice looking deal. It is one of those "buy it now" deals...so I bought it.

I get a confirm email saying I won......So I wait like 3 weeks...nothing....so I send the dude an email asking whats up...finally he replies..saying he has been sick and he is sorry for the delay and that I will be getting a shipping confirm email shortly...but now its been like 3 more weeks and nothing. So I just sent another email.

Actually I won the thing on 2/5ish so he got the $$$ order like a week later....so i have been waiting 5 weeks for a motherboard?

Is this normal or what?????

the dude has like 850 feedbacks and 97% positive.

---

so far I am not too impressed with ebay.

--

now reading thru some of the few negatives I see he always replies and says the people are liars, lol....hmmm

That is NOT normal. You will get your 'bad' sellers out there. I dont know why that guy is having such a hard time sending it out... I mean, hes got such good feedback, you would think he would not 'try' to pull your leg.

Well when he replied to me after my first email he seemed honest enough about it...cuz he said "if you havent recieved it yet, something is wrong"...then he said he'd get it out to me....lol, that was like 3 weeks ago

Maybe its time to contact ebay about this seller. Thats what I would do in a situation like this. I rarely use ebay. Only used it 3 times in the last 2 years and an experience like this would definatly turn me off.

My condolences you've probably been had. The rate of fraud on Ebay is much higher than they tell everyone. Go here to request contact info, they will send you a name and phone number.
http://www.ebay.com/help/confidence/...r-contact.html
[1] Call the seller and ask for an explanation
[2] file a complaint with Ebay
[3] consider filing a complaint with USPS for mail fraud
document and keep records of everything and all contact with the seller

Well I noticed that even among the positive feedbacks that several said there was some sort of shipping mix up or that it was really slow etc. Lemme see what his reply is to this last email I sent.
