Dude emailed me back Monday saying he would go to the shop himself and ship it, lol.....here it is late wednesday and I havent heard a peep.

I sent him a little email saying

"Okay, I need to either have a shipping confirmation by tommorrow or I need my money refunded in whole. Otherwise I will just have to go the whole ugly fraud report avenue. I have had enough excuses, please either ship the part or refund my money."

---

As if I dont have a life and 500 other things to worry about than this crap.....all just to get a motherboard for a Dell Optiplex that I got out of a dumpster!!!! lol

JP,

If it helps you feel any better I have a story from which to learn......seriously!! And regardless of who ate the losses (or in this case *most* of the losses, I still can't believe this stuff goes on)..........

Approx 6 months ago, I bought a digital camera from a guy on ebay who had over 100 positive feedbacks ***AND*** 100% positive at that! Now, I end up waiting a couple weeks & start worrying......well, the guy finally returns one of my e-mails saying he's in the hospital, had a heart attack but is back home & will ship my stuff USPS Priority. 2 days later, the camera shows. All's well, exactly as described, etc. etc.

Sooooooooo........about 2 weeks later, (he's been an ebay member for over a year), I see him put up the same $200 camera for $150 and shows that he has 20 to sell. Well, I figure he doesn't know how much longer he's gonna live so he puts 'em up to get rid of all his inventory so I buy a handful of 'em. Then, he does the same thing with some Playstation2's. Same deal, plenty of positive feedback on the sale of the PS2's so I buy a few of those. Already have about a half-dozen sold to friends & their friends, etc. Used Paypal for the majority of the couple purchases except for about $300 worth which was money sitting in my PP account. (WRONG idea!! Do NOT buy w/ cash in your PP account unless it's like Newegg or somethin').

Long story short..........no product, no contact, no joy!! Paypal couldn't get my money back so I ultimately had to do a dispute of funds with Visa who *did* get me the $1,500 of my $$$ back but my total purchase $$$'s were for about $1,800 so needless to say about $300 of my money went bye-bye!! Anyway......haven't made any mistakes like that since & all's been well. Hope my pain helps!!

I would at least post a very negative feedback rating on his ebay account.. and I would be sure to include the URL to this post in the text of the feedback. That way people can come here and see that you are not lying!!

I think this guy'll come through, JP. You did say he was at 97%, right?

He may just have "Nutty Professor" syndrome.

Ooooooooooh, Tazzin' very good thinkin' there.

I recently saw somebody include the words "e-mail me for details" in a reply to falsely negative feedback and when I e-mailed the guy about the incident the story was *completely* different. I believed the seller because it was his only negative feedback in 2 years' time and other than that he was 100% positive.

Anyway, your idea of including this url is very intuitive!! That might be just the kinda' fuel ya' need to scare somebody straight!!

other emails he has sent me

4/15 I will ship your item regardless of whether I have located the payment or
not. However, fraud report cannot do you any good unless you can prove that
your payment has been cashed. You have been a good customer. I have been sick.

4/17 I did not forget you this time. My mail program is messing up. I will try
again tomorrow or late tonight.

So dude says he has been sick...and his mail program is messing up, lol...next thing will be that his dog ate the motherboard?

Of course he has never given any reason for not sending it..for example he has never said he didnt get the MO etc.

I have been busy and hvaent followed up on this...so am looking into it today.

Ebay never removes feedback, unless-

-You swear
-You leave any type of contact information
-They get a court order for "slander"

So if you want to have people contact you, I'd just say "Email me for details!" If you post a link here, it could be removed as a way to contact someone. If they get creative, eBay could believe it. I usually check their feedback page for a few weeks. When someone else leaves a negative, that's when I leave mine. That way there are two next to each other, and that don't look like good donuts.

I don't know, this is the second time I've had problems with ebay myself...the sellers that is. For some reason I really know how to pick those ones that take your money and run. I figure, gonna shop around on these boards and see how well I can do. So to me...ebay = the devil oh and yes, I am a Waterboy fan
