yah they had to pay a fine or somethin a while back my aunt is the attorney general for washington state and i know they lost some big lawsuit and it put atleast one of their branches out of buisness
I know somebody that called up Futureshop as a joke and asked how much more a 20gb hard drive weighed when it was full of data compared to when it was empty. The person on the phone said, oh, only a few pounds more I suppose.
well mabey now they are only canadian all i know is there was one in spokane a while back that i got a few things from then my aunt put them out of buisness and the warrantys were transfers to another store (can't remember) it could have been a local store with the same name or something although it was a really big store and the same type of stuff
EDIT: ok i checked it out all 23 US locations were closed in early 1999
HeadBand, we (in Bellingham WA) had a future shop and all I can say good about it was they generally didn't have people out front that get payed to mug you. Seriously nobody ever shopped there because it cost so much and the sales associates were so lame.
Finnaly they moved out (this may be what your talking about) and a best buy moved in which is WAYYYYY!!!!! better! I love best buy!
