SE card generally follow an industry standard. But all it stands for is special edition.
The apollo 9600SE is not like the other industry 9600SE's. Apollo has put 128bit memory on the board instead of the normal 64 bit memory. This is essentially a regular 9600 card for a 9600se price.
Spec for spec these are the same cards, with the same memory, and the same graphics core, and the same bus

the only difference is one comes with a fan, which adds to the overall noise of a computer, and the 9600se does not and can handle the heat with a heatsink.
