| Falcon Northwest and Voodoo both look good, but I've never bought from any of them.

Yeah, but if I'm to trust recent complaints about Alienware, I wouldn't from them either.

I would say you do....theres nothing more stable than a home built computer
if you want to learn how to it can be very fun and easy...and you will know exactly whats going into it so you will know what its capable of upgrading is... and you have top quality stuff instead of everything baught in bulk and slapped together in different configurations...there are some small local companies and smaller online buisnesses but i still don't think you will have the satisfaction of doing it yourself...plus you get a bigger warranty on all the main components rather than paying extra from a company

Build one yourself or spend a few hundreds more, save all the work/hassles buying one from Voodoo, Falcon Northwest, Hypersonic, Velocity Micro, Overdrive, Thunderbox, Maingear, All American, Biohazard, SavRow, and HWG Tech with cool, custom case(s).
If you don't want to pay for custom painted and/or designed cases/towers, check out ABS, Gentech, Addict, Puget CC, Tasty PC, Tantus, Zeus, Vigor, HyperKore, and L2
With these options, wonder why so many people still buy main brand PCs.
edit: BOXX stopped making gaming pcs, what a pity, they had some of the most powerful units.

Boxx makes some monster machines for doing video/audio work and from what ive seen of those id imagine their gaming computers wouldnt be much different.

OMG thank u so much for all those vendors. I've been looking for some of those small companies that make some sweet custom system for lower prices so they can compete with the big dogs like Falcon and VOodoo. I really like those BOXX's but like someone said I dont want a workstation I want a gaming PC, I'm wondering if they'll be good for that
