UPDATED INFO! EXPRESS CAMERAS (expresscameras.com) = CROOKS

Those guys at Express Cameras in Edison, New Jersey are at it again. They continually earn the lowest ratings and most dissatisfaction from customers who complain about being conned:
http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Express_Cameras

They are not really cons - they are just very good at making it very very difficult to get what you ordered. They use very ambiguious item descriptions. They essentially set you up for a lose/lose situation. They are making a lot of money off fees and markups.

I would like to see if there is anyone out there who knows the true ins and outs of their methods and techniques. If there is a guilt-ridden or fed-up insider at this company who is willing to come forward anonymously, to talk about how Express Cameras (and even A&M Photo, Digital Liquidators and Bwayphoto.com) do their business, I think it would greatly benefit this community, and the general public as a whole.

Bump on that one.. Express Cameras sucks bigtime. Maybe we should organize a support group - or a class action lawsuit - for people who've been screwed in some way by EC.

These guys extra suck! I just had to pay them to cancel my order which was BS since they don't have a cancellation policy. I just paid the bribe to get it over with instead of have to think about those A-Holes!

I've taken my business to B&H, and I am feeling a whole lot better! After dealing with the likes of Express Cameras (and Save-here.com, their new incarnation), B&H was beyond enjoyable. B&H Rules! From now on I'll sing their praises, and for the rest of my days here on Earth, I'll badmouth the Bait&Switchers!

EC, dry up and blow away!!!

Funny thing about their home page, none of their "certificates" go anywhere.

Their "AmEx Fraud Protection Guaranteed" badge that says "click here" is not linked to anything.

Yeah.. once you look at their website with an experienced eye (unfortunately for me it was in hindsight), Express Cameras website has more holes than swiss cheese. It's not even a real e-tailer website. They handle everything over the phone.

They are afraid to name the owner of their company. I have a feeling that expresscameras.com and save-here.com are owned by the same people that put out bwayphoto.com, digitalliquidators.com and the other bait & switch artists based in Brooklyn.

Is there any way to determine the umbrella company that owns these shysters?

Maybe everyone that reads this thread should drop them a line, and assist them in improving their customer service.

info@expresscameras.com

I am sure they would love to hear from everyone......we can support them with constructive criticism.

Express Cameras does nothing when you send them an email. Not even a reply. Not even spam! Who knows if they even read emails you send them! Oh Well..

I used the abraham73 contact on AIM to chat with express cameras website contract adminstrator. He was helpful. He gave me the number 732-738-7387, which is their offices, I believe. Abraham73 told me the highest ranking person he speaks to at Express Cameras is David Goldstein at extension 233. Perhaps people with complaints or concerns can ask for David Goldstein when expressing their concerns or complaints.

Abraham73 also states that he thinks some of the reviews posted on resellerratings.com are actually false complaints posted by Express Cameras' competitors.

So, hopefully this information will help. You can also always try to chat with abraham73 like I did.

Outdoors Mad as HEll-Should have listened

OK OK I read the reports but couldnt believe that people did buisness like this.

I ordered a DVX100a from expresscameras.com and all seemed good. I received an email from them telling me that I had to call them to confirm my order.

SO I called them and was informed that the camera didnt come with a battery or charger and was being sold as a "body only" camera for those that already had a DVX100.

After telling Him what I thought of this. In a non caring voice as if they hear it all the time He said "So what do you want to do?"

Cancel the order I said and they hung up.

I immeditaly called my credit card company and was told Surprise "WE can not do anything till the charges have been made to the card"

I called express cameras back and as I read on the complaints page asked for David Goldstein. Now This might not mean anything BUT Goldstein sounds like a jewish name and the person on the phone sounded Indian/Arab accent.

After being on hold for about 10 minutes this man came on introduced himself as David Goldstein and in the same non careing voice just said that He would get the webpage updated to reflect the "body only" sales point on the camera and hung up.

I sent an Email to Panasonic to inform them of this buisness practice. Told them about how these people are selling the camera as pieces instead of the basic retail package as Panasonic sells it. I also asked them if there was anything they could do to not do buisness with them since they are misrepresenting the equipment and draging Panasonic along with their bad name.

As it happens I will be in New Jersey next week not to far from EdisonNJ where this place is. If I get the time and can get away I just might stop by and do a face to face.....

I should of listened and went to B&H in the first place.

Nick...........

I bet when you were young and your parents told you"Don't touch that.... it's hot" you touched it anyway just to find out HOW HOT IT WAS!
