I was in the car around 3, and got a call from them. They had an issue with my shipping address. This was most likely a valid issue; I recently moved and the bank may not have updated my credit card's address. I will call tomorrow to confirm the change was registered with them and the lens can be sent to my current address and not my University address.

Just got off the phone again. Rechecked their hours, and they were still open. My order has been cleared and processed. "I don't know if it shipped or not, but if it did not today then it should probably tomorrow." Interesting side note: I pressed 4 to speak with confirmed orders/tracking. "We close at 5". Call back. Press 3 to confirm order. "Let me transfer you to that department." Answered right away.

Called just now to check shipment status. "Due to extreme call volume, your call may take over 20 minutes to be answered. Please call back later, or continue to hold." I hung up.

I just arrived at my apartments and UPS was outside. No package. EC's business hours are until 4 on Friday. I will call on Monday.

DOH!

I ordered from these guys Friday, before I did a search for "Express Camara Complaints".

I said "No" to the extended warranty, batteries, etc. Then he said "here is your total", which was $25 higher than just the item price. He added $12 shipping and $13 for insurance. I told him I didn't want insurance. He said all products need insurance. I told him every UPS package had $100 of insurance, he said that wasn't true. He said we could split the cost, so I said OK because I just want the product!

I will let you know what happens.

I recieved the package today. Just opened. About to take pictures. The package contains one Canon Lens and the "Starter kit" detailed on the page. I opened the package and examined everything. Included US warranty card. Optics look great. I examined on the camera. Very nice lens. Uploading pics to follow.

Photos were taken with a 2MP sony cybershot (POS point and shoot)

These where the contents of the package. Because of the upload size, the pictures have been reduced in quality and size. If anyone wishes, I can forward full size or request pics.

They suck

Someone should do one of those consumer fraud stories on Express Cameras - either on TV or in the newspaper. I would love to see these guys closed down. I can't wait to see how many victims of these thieves show up on Reseller Ratings during the holiday season.

Express Cameras engages in false advertising, and then when they get your credit card information they make unauthorized charges. That's enough to get the State Atty General involved, isn't it?
