I will be in New Jersey next week
"As it happens I will be in New Jersey next week not to far from EdisonNJ where this place is. If I get the time and can get away I just might stop by and do a face to face....." I think this would be a good opportunity to confront them and find out the true -if it is possible. May God be with you!

Bait and switch and way overcharged
I ordered a Nikon Lens. When I called to verify they talked me into what was supposed to be a brand new Sigma issued lens that was better than the Nikon. I allowed them to change my order, then they charged me an extra $30 for a lens hood. My total charge with free shipping was $439.
When the lens arrived I researched it at Sigma's web site and some other retail sites. Found out the lens is worth about $140 and comes with a lens hood.
Called them back and they swore up and down that the lens was the newest available and that it was not even being released until September. Had no answer why Sigma did not show any new release and had the lens they sent me with the same specs for a MSRp of $200 with the lens hood.
What a run around (took three hours). When I finally just gave up and asked for a return authorization number they told me that I would have to pay $73 before I would get my credit card credited.
After about another hour I got the return number apparently without a restock fee. I am sending it back today, calling my credit card company and cancelling the charge. Am looking into filing a complain with the Attorney General in NJ. Also looking into a possible class action against them. My firm, and I mean "My Law Firm" does some class action work.
Do not use these people, you will ge ripped off.

Does anyone have any updates as to whether or not they received their money back? I have a feeling I'm fixing to go through all of this...my items are in the mail as we speak....unfortunately.

Express Cameras does nothing when you send them an email. Not even a reply. Not even spam! Who knows if they even read emails you send them! Oh Well..

Express Camera
Yup, typical bait and switch job. They really tried to talk me into buying a much cheaper camera (which was "supposedly" on a waiting list) after I questioned why an LCD screen was an "option" on a Canon 5D camera! Why did Canon opt to sell 5D cameras without the LCD panel, I asked? Probably because they were damaged, used, and they needed to be replaced, is my guess. These guys are absolute crooks, and deserve to be run out of town. DO NOT BUY from these clowns!

I would like to let everyone know that when I sent a bunch of E-Mails to TrustedPhoto.com and this is what I get: Delivery Status Notification (Failure)
From: postmaster@mail.hotmail.com
This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification. Unable to deliver message to the following recipients, due to being unable to connect successfully to the destination mail server. info@trustedphoto.com
I am aware that TrustedPhoto is under the same name as ExpressCameras, so I just wanted this to get out there. I'm not sure if the same thing happens with Express.

Phew
Glad I did some research before ordering. I admit I am a cheapskate, so this was too tempting for me to pass up. However, they seem to garnish almost 100% negative responses. I'll assume the few who are happy just don't know any better. Pretty scary stuff...
Still, my Chase credit card charged me for things I supposedly upsold to. He (the Express Camera employee) is right. Most businesses will screw you if you let em...

Sure wish our folks had read this thread before making an order with Express Cameras.
After working with businesses and retail for our 24 years, I was shocked today to experience one of the rudest and most offensive customer relations nightmare ever.
Last week, we ordered a $5,000 camera "kit." Our videographers were persuaded into this package and we received the package three days later. The kit contained high-end Walmart videography equipment and we were completely unhappy with our order.
We called the very next day and their customer service staff refused to respond. We called back everyday until today and with no return phone calls, we finally spoke to Adam Spade and since he couldn't solve our problem, we asked to speak to a supervisor and his respond..."You can talk to the supervisor in my pants!"
Our employees received a barrage of profanities and threads and this place seems like they have the mob running their customer service lines and everyone acts the same. We tried to reach a reasonable customer service manager and they all act the same with spit and threats.
In this particular case, we are a daily newspaper and work with customers all the time. We bend over backwards to please our customers. We also can easily read the terms on the Express Camera website and invoices. Returns in 7 days and "the Customer is Always Right." That is so far from the truth in this regard that it's very important for me to recommend that everyone stay away from this insolent and rude retailer.
They get my reward as "Worst Customer Service on The Net." We have stopped payment and will begin a battle with our staff soon. All we wanted to do was to return the Kit and buy a camera instead. After their belittling barrage of comments and insults, we will never do business with them and neither will our newspapers throughout the US. I'm glad this forum is online and only hope that other customers will do a Google search before they think about calling this ring.
You reap what you sow I guess and these guys are calling their own condemnation.

Interesting
Well, I got screwed too. Ordered a nikon sb 800, ended up getting a (this next line is to be read in one breathless monotonous stream) "Top of the line alien technology never seen before made by the hands of God.... Digital Concepts Pro Super AF 952 TTL Flash." Give me a break. Long story short.. called Express Cameras, he said to send it back and they will replace it with the SB 800 ... Duh?. So i sent it. Found out I was being flimflamed, I grabbed the phone and said "when that package gets there, CANCEL it." He said "why" I couldn't help but laugh. He said that I would have to overnight a check for the S&H. NOWAY. blah blah blah I have the same story as everyone else. I contacted credit card co., NJ attorney general, and BBB. I don't know how these guys sleep at night.
Anyways.. I thought this was interesting. The complex they are in is The Business Centre at Edison. The building is 100' X 100', it looks like there is a max of 8 suites so that equates to 1250s.f. That kind of explains alot. A real business like that would need 4times that much space. A friend of mine has a wholesale cell phone accessory business. Tiny little parts and pieces. They just moved to a new facility (after outgrowing 1100 then 2200s.f.) to a new 4500s.f. They are a real business. They have items in stock that they sell to customers, the happy customers buy from them over and over. They can go home feeling good about their job.
OK I'm done
