pny ddr rebate

Purchased pny 512 pc2100 DDR ram through TigerDirect.com. Sent in upc and rebate form. Also purchased other items to redo computer. Scanned codes into computer. When replaced MB, computer wouldn't work right until reformatted, guess what, lost upc copies. Now pny is refusing rebate, stating that I sent the wrong upc, which I am very careful when sending in rebates. Told me to resend upc within 14 days and would still do rebate. I told them I had already sent it and therefor could not resend it. They said they would accept a copy then, but my copy was lost in the reformat episode. Any suggestions???

DO you still happen to have the package/wrapper etc? Perhaps they would accept that instead.

You really have to be careful with these companies cuz the whole rebate thing is sorta slimy.

As you know, you SURELY sent in the right upc, lol...they just randomly turn down rebates because they know only a small percentage of peeps will bother following up etc.

well, problem appears to be solved!! Called Tigerdirect, where I purchased the ram. They said they would make it good (the rebate). Thanks for the suggestions.
