OK, what's the sweet-spot/best-bang-for-the-buck in 266 MHz FSB AMD CPU's? I ask it that way cause I still have several K7S5A mobos and really nothing newer than that. I need a couple CPU's that will max on these boards but was curious what the best deal is right now or soon to come. Thanks

I think the 2600 might be the way to go with that board.
You can get oem's for around $ 80.00 online,or if you want to do the I-4 thing Cheapguys is the best price in town right now at $ 109.00 for the retail version.

K7S5A motherboards support up to a XP2400, this is due to the XP2500 is a 333.

Thanks for the replies but what I was looking for was like 2@ XP2000 or 2200+ for like around $50 each. If I can run two boards at that speed for the price of one 2600 then that's what I'd be looking to do.

Thanks all for the help. I decided to go for two of the 2000+ retails @$57 ea. and get the 3 year warranty, H/S, and fan for the extra $5 ea. Question: Where do you get the free stuff?

at the bottom of the item page there is the option to add it...but i have noticed a few that some don't come with it anymore and it says select instead of all
